Ipswich 5 points off play offs now

If we were to finish 3rd don’t really fancy Ipswich or Sheff W over 2 legs. Was hoping Plymouth held on for that win :emoticon-0130-devil

MK Dons scored the winner with the last kick of the game. Twine with the goal again. Could have done with them dropping 2 points as well.

Different ways of looking at it. I don’t mind teams competing at the top if we’re on our game, which I believe we will be. It means more pressure on the competition and points dropped. Wigan and Rotherham with yet more games to play after tonight.

We’ll get a much better idea where we’re all at after the games in Feb.

We really need Wigan and Rotherham to go on a very bad run....

Unfortunately it hasn't started yet... a draw last night was helpful

Looking at our next 5 games we can't afford to drop many if any points. Wigan up after that and loads to play for.

Before they play us, Wigan's next four are Charlton (H), Sheff Wed, Rotherham and Wycombe (A). Tough ask to get 4 points from them.

Our 5 games in the same period are all winnable - Donny, MK Dons and Burton (H), Cheltenham and Wimbledon (A) - minimum 11 points, I reckon. Could be 5 points clear of Wigan by the time we play them, so a draw down there won't be a bad result.

If it worked out like that It would be great....but this is safc.

It's definitely getting tight. Pompey blew their chance to close the gap tonight and I think them and Ipswich have left themselves too much to do.

That just leaves 4 from 6 for the play off places, with MK Dons/Wigan looking very likely to claim one of them. That just leaves Oxford, Plymouth, Wycombe, Sheff Wed and ourselves fighting for 3 spots.

Just done a predictor type thing which came out as follows:

Rotherham and Wigan promoted.
---------------------------------------
3rd MK Dons - 91 points
4th Sheff Wed - 86 points
5th Oxford - 83 points
6th Sunderland - 82 points
--------------------------------------
7th Wycombe - 79 points
8th Plymouth - 79 points

I had us losing to Rotherham and Oxford, drawing at Plymouth and winning the other 5. 15/16 points should be sufficient, but I'd like more to make sure.
