    No one's saying it's easy ...

... in fact, I didn't even mention Sunderland's run in.

Dunno who you're responding to then ...

... no one, on the thread, has said it's easy.

    More good news.

Plymouth have two serious injury problems ...

... their top scorer and a first choice defender.

They have a very poor squad, outside of the first eleven, so they could struggle if they're long term.

As they didn't have a single attempt on goal, yesterday, the absence of their top scorer won't help ...

... this is the kind of thing that usually happens to us.

It’s a shame Plymouth are 7 points above us with a better goal difference…They’ll finish higher than we do.

We have a game in hand and play them ourselves.

Their run in is very difficult.

Plymouth home to Oxford, Sunderland and MK, away to Burton, Wycombe and Wigan ...

... you'd expect them to finish above us, they might not.

Exactly if we win our game in hand and beat them that's just a point in it

  9. This. All is not lost. We can still get 88 points, which will be a play off place.

Do you fancy us to go there and win? I certainly don’t after 0-0 draws at the mighty Charlton and Lincoln…

Your choice pal…. yet we won 3:0 away at Wigan.

I have no idea what the score or result will be. But we can win away at top teams…

6 or 7 teams fighting for 4 play-off spots inc us suggests this will go down to the last week, if not weekend.

  12. If we have Broadhead and Pritchard fit, play our on the ground attacking football and cut out silly individual mistakes,we can beat any of these teams, home or away.

All kinds of things happen during these run ins.

Teams fall apart, relegated teams play out of their skin for no reason, referees lose control and give ludicrous decisions.

Plymouth recently lost five or six on the bounce so have proved they can be as erratic as anyone.

When Bruce had us finish tenth we were on the verge of relegation and just safe going into the last day ...

... a series of freak results flung us halfway up the league*.

Throughout the season four or five teams were 'nailed on' to win the league.

Rotherham were the latest to be 'untouchable' and ordering the open topped bus ...

... yet they could arrive at the SOL needing a win to go up.

I think 82 or 83 will be enough mate, but it's important that we don't rest on our laurels. I had us getting 4 wins and 3 draws - 82 points. This was the same as Plymouth. Wycombe snatched 6th on 81. Oxford and Sheff Wed missing out, both on 80 points.

That would mean us v Plymouth semi-final.

  20. Hope you're right marra. I'd settle for that at this moment. As @Smug in Boots said earlier,Plymouth may have got some unwanted injuries at just the wrong time for them, whilst we may have some important players coming back in.
