They certainly have hit good form at the right time. They've got potentially tough games with Wycombe and Portsmouth coming up though.

I'm not sure which two I'd rather potentially face in the playoffs out of Rotherham, MK Dons, and Sheffield Wednesday. If Rotherham do drop out of the automatic spots, then they could crumble, so I'd take them. I'd have probably said I'd want to avoid MK Dons, but then they seem to be having a bit of a blip in form just as Wednesday are hitting a good patch.

Still, the thing for our club to concentrate on is winning our own games. Fingers are very much crossed.
Sheffield Wednesday over 2 legs and Rotherham in Final would be my choice. If that permutation can happen.

FFS I've just done a Covid19 test... it was positive.

So no golf tomorrow (can't risk infecting other old duffers like myself), plus the next home game is in doubt...bollocks.

I now feel fine... which is even more galling!
The answer there, is to stop testing

If we ARE living with it, then we just need to get one with it. Had it twice now, and whilst the most recent bout (3 weeks ago) was nowt to write home about, the chest infection that followed absolutely floored me

I play golf with a load of old buggers like myself, I sit in the east stand with a load of old buggers. It would not be right to pass it on to them...

I have just spent the last hour splitting some logs ready for next winter... so am feeling fine.

But my wife, son and grandson are still below par the granddaughter has had no symptoms.
Despite what Bonko pretends to be the case, this virus had not gone away. Hospitals are still busy with it.

Problem is, the way they record the stats - if you are in hospital and test positive for covid (whilst attending for something else) it's recorded as "in hospital with covid". The actual numbers of people i hospital because of covid is very low.

Anyway, I'll stop hijacking this thread

Definitely is a lot of it about and it takes some shaking off, sales of paracetamol , ibuprofen and cough medicines must be going through the roof..

It’s absolutely mental that we aren’t in the playoff positions, but if we’d won just two of the games we’ve drawn this season, automatics would have been mathematically in our hands
This is why speakman needs to answer some serious questions, I know you can look at loads of results over the season, the likes of the bad run LJ took us on, but that's what got him the sack, we were all led to believe this new system would mean any transition from players to management would be fluid and cause no disruption due to the system that was in place.
However the thing he got so wrong was the piss poor show he made of recruiting the new manager.
If AN had come in for those 2 earlier games I honestly believe we would be looking at automatics, not necessarily the results from those 2 games but his first 2.
It took him those first 2 games to find what was wrong with the squad and what he needed to do to turn this team around.
I think LJ got a lot of things wrong be Speakman had one chance to fix it and he screwed it up.
I am an optimistic person and I can wait for Wembley again, trafalgar Square here we come

Even if Rotherham lose the next two games, the GD, 10, looks to big to overcome?

If Mcdons get a point off their last game we cannot catch them either.

So 3 teams on 80 points and one on 79..

Win the next two games?

Rotherham on Tuesday.... wow

Tuesday is massive. I think manager and team should have a mindset of gaining automatic promotion. Ensure they beat Rotherham by as many as possible and hope Fleetwood who need the points get something out of the game with Sheff Wed. If it works out that way we will have a 3 point lead over Plymouth and 3 or 4 point lead over Sheff Wed and a better goal difference over both. With Plymouth playing MK Dons and Rotherham away to Gillingham who may still need the points to stay up it is not beyond us to get that 2nd spot. Lot of ifs and buts, but hey we can always dream. Get Tuesday out of the way and see where that leaves us

Agree with the mindset, unfortunately realistic our last chance of automatic promotion went when we didnt win at Plymouth....case if keep winning & were on form for the playoffs
