As far as I'm aware, Hull City have never actually played South Cave.

I spend what little time I'm not on here abusing Christians, Jews and Muslims on YouTube. 'Tis fun when they bite.

I know, but they came to do a McDonalds sponsored schools doohickey while I was in Primary school, I won tickets to see them play Leyton Orient. I also scored a penalty against Roy Carroll that day.

Perhaps a match against South Cave at the Bully Field is just what the squad needs. Just watch out for the needles and cricketers.

I always abuse the Christians I meet. Never meet Jews or Muslims. <ok>

Edit: I think my opinions were made clear on my 'Creationism' thread on the General Chat page. It was pretty popular actually, went to about 14 or 15 pages and got hundreds of comments. :)

I have a strong disliking towards Leeds but would not class them as a rival as i dont believe they class us as Rivals they're more Huddersfield and Manchester United

    Therefore give me Scunthorpe anyday

    Traditionally wasn't it:
    Grimsby
    Scunthorpe
    York
    Sheffield Wed
    Lincoln ?

I was in a remote little village near Dublin over Easter, called Rush. We ended up having a house party and sure enough two Irish lads turned out to be Leeds fans, due to Steve McPhail having originally come from Rush and they knew him quite well. I couldnt believe how unlucky I was! But they seemed to be genuine fans and had been over to games/knew all the chants. They knew Hull City really well, but knew nothing of any supposed rivalry between us and couldnt understand why I was so gobsmacked to meet two of them in such a remote place! They said the whole Hull thing is just one way as they didnt realise they were supposed to hate us. I know this story is slightly out of context but demonstrated that two Irish lads still bore the brunt of my wrath for being fans of my 'local' rivals, so whatever we have is confined to Yorkshire. Even weirder was there was a Notts Forest fan there too!

The way the table finished this season suggests Leeds are our biggest rivals, given that we'll both probably be competing for promotion next season. I think more Leeds fans are starting to appreciate us as a genuine rival after how we've both become similar squad wise in the last 10 years. With us been 60 miles away from Leeds our rival isn't as intense as their rivary with the 2 sheffield clubs, huddersfield, bradford man united. In terms of geography then scunthorpe, grimsby, donny, york and lincoln are our biggest rivals, but the strength of this rivalry is more or less lost when with the exception of donny and scunthorpe you don't play each other regularly in competative games.

I think the Hull-Leeds rivalry is more a Hull-Hull based Leeds fans rivalry. I've got mates supporting who Leeds who genuinely could not care less about Hull City, half of them don't even realise Hull's in Yorkshire.

I'd place Scunts above Grimsby, but I guess I agree with that. However, I actually quite like Wednesday, it's Sheffield United I hate.

PS. Please get rid of that bright orange signature, it's annoying me! <laugh>
