Each team seems to be a bit schizophrenic, everyone seems to be beating everyone. We've kept ourselves in a good position going into the international break and close of the transfer window. Get the new signings in and a few players back from injury and kick on in the run up to Christmas.
Well, he is from Sheffield. Unlike that well known Sheff Utd fan who was born in Birkenhead and is one of Hull's favourite sons... He was brought up a Blades fan. Managing them was a dream come true for him.
I know. But I hate Sheffield United, their supporters etc. It's not his fault he was born there. I'm simply saying it's a stumbling block for me.
It could have been worse. He could have been a Fowls fan. Though a dislike of Wednesday is more prevalent amongst us around in the early 70s. I met the wife of a lad I used to go to City with then who emigrated to South Africa in the 1980s when he made a visit back here.. She said when she first met him she thought there was something wrong with him as he used to say things like "I'll meet you the day after Tuesday" or "I'll meet you the day before Thursday" such was his reluctance to utter the word Wednesday. My wife told her that after knowing me and him for years she could quite believe it.
Heaton moved to Sheffield when he was four, it's hardly surprising he grew up supporting his local team.
Autocorrect strikes again. It was indeed a dreadful challenge. And he seemed to think there was nothing wrong with it.
