And Chelsea don't win European trophies any more so all they can boast about is their number of draws
Apparently Bayern may come for the RS flop. Fingers crossed that Bayern haven't taken leave of their senses. We want the RS to remain **** http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-fans-worried-after-jurgen-11253559
Change that front part, please. They certainly ain't a Ferrari. So far, Liverpool has conceded 12 goals and scored 13. It's a fkin misconception that they have a great attack. THEY DON'T! Plaudits that say that are on crack at best.
I was thinking this, it's utter bollocks isn't it? A media perpetuated myth. Was watching their game on Sunday and Martin Tyler (i think, sounded like him but **** knows if I'm honest) was papping on about bringing Firmino on so that "the fab four, as they are known" would be all on the pitch together. By whom? The ****ing fab four? Who the **** are these four?
I'm guessing their only four players to have scored more than one league goal this season. Salah is their only player this season to have scored more goals than Fellaini FFS.
If we strip the historical context out of the RS/United match and look at each side's form and strength, there can only be one winner. But we can't avoid the context and the fact that it is a "derby" away to our big "rivals" and the fact that they will step up. I still think that JM should go for the win, in the same way he would go for it facing Burnley or Watford. Both teams have their main strengths in their front line but we should have nothing to fear from them (no #jinx) . For me, the one downer is the absence of Pogba. He is clearly ireplaceable. Fellaini may have been doing a great job so far but any team will miss him. For the first time since Fergie retired, I would say even a draw in this match would be a serious setback for us. A game we simply have to win and I believe we will.
OTD in 2015, Brendan Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool and replaced by Klopp. Points after 75 PL games: Klopp - 136 Rodgers - 142
You are both right, as much as we have good players up front they are not playing very well together and are certainly not getting enough goals. The pundits and media are banging on about our exciting attack but all we see as fans is that Salah needs 4 chance to get a goal, Firmino works hard but doesn't score enough, Coutinho is class and is a real threat and Mane the same. So we have a fab 2 and they can't always do it by themselves as they are surrounded by a team that isn't playing well.
Liverpool's defensive problem is directly tied to Klopp's naiveness that you can somehow just throw all men forward without a balanced setup at the back. I read a great article about Klopp's continued lack of recognition that his defenders are poor yet he continues not to invest in quality players at the back and spends money on wasted players like Ox. Then players at the fore front are not even good enough to lead the line. Firmino at 26 years old has had 1 season in his whole career whereby he has scored more than 13 goals and that was 4 years ago - think about that for one second. Yet he starts every game as though he is class. He wouldn't even make it to United's reserve team with the way he plays. Mane and Coutinho are simply too far above the rest of the squad that it becomes mission impossible more often than not. Jose should go for Mane.
I agree in that Klopp needs to improve the defenders available to him, but system wise Dortmund were very good at the back with the same system. Firminio is a very good player and I'm more than happy with him starting he links the forward line well.
He's ****e, didn't want him. Don't think Klopp wanted him either or Roberstson. He wont play either Robertson looks decent though.
