They'd come back for only these two reasons:-
(a) even more money; and
(b) to be with Pep
Messi, in particular (we are told) is especially fond of Pep.
If the bloke has the Messianic touch, in terms of getting in the super stars, £ity fans are going to be in Wonderland for next few seasons, and United's plastic fan-base is going to take a right old humping.
Hope not. They've already got Aguero and Iheanacho looks a real prospect, but I think they'll replace Bony and bring in one more.Hopefully not Alli or Kane!
Chelsea look woeful! Is this the end of them as a top 4 regular?
I can see them going the same way as 'Pool, and being cast into the mid-table wilderness for several seasons.
United, I think, have a chance to recoup, provided they can get shot of LVG and Rooney, but Chelsea have a massive uphill struggle ahead of them, even to make Europa League standards.
doubt it very much, Chavs will spend big this summer and probably have a new manager to get back in the top 4
Leicester will get relegated and win the cl
only hope is utd are as turd next year as this and klopp doesnt improve liverpool with some new signings and exxits, both scenarios unlikely
all valid, rational points i agree with, lets not forget city spending next year also, 150m pep has to spend so they say. Both Chavski and Pool will buy come summer. But, the new players will still need to be integrated. That takes time, and that's assuming it works.
What many overlook in this is that it's team game. And that's what Pochettino has built, a team. A team that works for each other and functions as a unit. Yes, there are some very good individual talents in there, but the sum of the parts is greater than the individual pieces.

Yeah, **** FFP eh?....
yup"The opposite of the 'soft underbelly' tag that has been attached to us, rightly so."
Also a notable change in the on-pitch behaviour.
I have noticed that several players are fronting up now when opposition tackles in
their mind have gone beyond the call of duty (Alli always, Kane often) .
Harks back IMHO to the 'your card is now marked' days of one Dave Mackay.
