Sterling paid a big chunk of his fee back tonight, I think. It'll be interesting to see if they can finally get a decent draw.UnitedJust about the easiest group they could have hoped for too.
Depay's making Sterling look like a bargain!

Did you have a bet?

You'd have nailed on Wolfsburg and United to go through from that group for sure.
It has been said on here before by others too but I'm growing more convinced by the game that we were done a favour when United came in for LVG.

Nah, I've had a shocker this season so I'm only betting on the weekends until I start getting a few bets right![]()
So Schweinsteiger comes from a place in Bavaria 16 km from a town called Schweinsteig. No wonder he’s not known for his pace. If his ancestors picked up their name 600 years ago, they traveled at an average rate of around 3 millimeters per hour.

As weeks go by, the more apparent it becomes that us missing out on LVG is the best thing that could've happened to us in recent history. If I remember rightly many of us had Poch down for like our 3rd or 4th choice candidate in terms of who we wanted to take over from Sherwood, whereas LVG was a big frontrunner or close 2nd, we were even led to believe at times by media outlets that LVG was set to take over up until Utd hijacked it and so it left a feeling of disappointment when we lost out on him. Yet it turned out an absolute blessing as we've now got a manager that I'd like think at least 95% of the club's fan base are fully behind and feel confident of achieving some form of success under.
Right now, I genuinely believe we have the equivalent of a footballing wonderkid in managers terms, when I look at young managers across Europe I'd definitely put Poch in the top bracket of them. He's completely turned around what was essentially a borefest under AVB to a clueless squad under Sherwood, last season we experienced the transition of pulling out of those boring days as we still bared witness to poor performances and results but this season has seen us go on an unbeaten run and often been the side who deserved to win if we'd drawn, something in recent seasons was a rarity.
