I was gutted when it became clear that we were being used once again as the traditional premier league doorstop, holding open the door for the media to usher a big name into a 'big' club, but that man would've utterly ruined this club - for the simple reason that we aren't in a position to burn through £150 million every window just to plaster over the cracks of his ineptness.
I shudder to think what we would look like now under LVG. Probably 17th place with Fazio as captain, Andros Townsend playing as a deep playmaker and Nicklas Bendtner leading the line.
Oh and if anyone needs HIAG, he said he'll be at the cock clinic until at least the end of next week - although they've written him down for the general anesthetic in case Arsenal lose tomorrow so he may be in for a while longer. If it's urgent, he's in Ward H Bed 23, next to Roman Abramovich.

I've gone with two big bets on Sunderland, one success with Dick first manager to resign, second bet is on Big Sam keeping Sunderland in the league. Their next 3 games are Chelsea, City and Liverpool, but am confident BigSam will just keep them in the league.

As weeks go by, the more apparent it becomes that us missing out on LVG is the best thing that could've happened to us in recent history. If I remember rightly many of us had Poch down for like our 3rd or 4th choice candidate in terms of who we wanted to take over from Sherwood, whereas LVG was a big frontrunner or close 2nd, we were even led to believe at times by media outlets that LVG was set to take over up until Utd hijacked it and so it left a feeling of disappointment when we lost out on him. Yet it turned out an absolute blessing as we've now got a manager that I'd like think at least 95% of the club's fan base are fully behind and feel confident of achieving some form of success under.
Right now, I genuinely believe we have the equivalent of a footballing wonderkid in managers terms, when I look at young managers across Europe I'd definitely put Poch in the top bracket of them. He's completely turned around what was essentially a borefest under AVB to a clueless squad under Sherwood, last season we experienced the transition of pulling out of those boring days as we still bared witness to poor performances and results but this season has seen us go on an unbeaten run and often been the side who deserved to win if we'd drawn, something in recent seasons was a rarity.
