TBF HIAG, someone like PISKIE will tell you how significant this result is, given that :

1. Palace spend far more on players than the Goons do
2. Palace have a world-class striker in Chamakh
3. The Palace manager has far more PL experience than Wenger.

This could be the season that the Goons finally take 4th place from Palace.

Aaron Ramsey scored in stoppage time to break the resolve of Crystal Palace and give title contenders Arsenal

Do the BBC employ gooners to write match reports?

There are two title contenders, City & Chelsea, although the goons and mousers will convince themselves they stand a chance.

So, lucky Arsenal get a late winner. That should have been a draw. You've got to feel for Palace.

Still, Arsenal are looking pretty toothless, what with all the money they've spent; and Sanchez looks pretty ordinary to me.

Bit of a dose of reality for United and Arsenal fans today. United will need to be much less open against teams to get the kind of results SAF got out of those players, or else Van Gaal will need to focus his final signings on a new defence. Arsenal will need Koscielny and Mertesacker to stay fit all season unless they add at least one more quality centre back, Szczesny isn't good enough, Debuchy really isn't very good, Sonogo is crap and Sanchez isn't the second coming of Henry.

You can understand why Pulis quit, if they had two good wingers they could've beaten Arsenal today.

2 goal toothless ?

I though we scored TWICE as many goals as Spurs today , ......but we are toothless and you TROUNCED West ham .... 1-0

you are just a gem .

Keep it up now ...they are only facts , dont let em stop your chuckles.

Both Arsenal and Spurs were fortunate today but going behind at home to Palace is not a good sign.

Yes, agreed. I thought we were a tad fortunate to win. A draw would probably have been fairer.

As for Arsenal, they were lucky too. Palace defended brilliantly. Goons looked frustrated, and out of ideas. Sanchez had such a quiet game, I wondered if he was on the pitch.

I don't think it's lucky to press the opposition and force a late winner. Top teams do it frequently, none more so than Utd under SAF. It's a result of self belief, mental strength and confidence in your ability to execute your skills when you need to. Sadly, it's a trait that's left Utd and will only return when players are brought in who have it. It's worth 20 points a season.

They pressed a lot, Luke. However, the vast majority of their pressing was unimaginative, clumsy, and lacked any real thought. They fortunately found a way through after Palace were reduced to 10 men.

We lost every game in which we went down to 10 men last season, I believe. Kaboul x2, rose, paulinho.
One was against west ham

"We lost every game in which we went down to 10 men last season"

Didn't we win 2-3 PL games in 2010-11 where we played 10 vs 11 for a fair amount of the game ??
TBF those games might have been against Villa (with VDV terrorising them) . :)
