Yes as we saw with the booking for Oscar 9 mins in and Everton being allowed to time waste and escape caution for similar challenges on Chelsea players <doh>
 
Looks like Chelsea fans have nearly worn their finger nails down to the bone!But they are getting that one goal and not giving it up.Arsenal used to win championships this way.....Turns managers hair grey.Oh.Too late!!!!

As I've mentioned before, I like you DL and understand you will defend your team. However:

I won't say I've never been so disgusted by a group of officials in the PL before because I've gotten used to them being usually rubbish and often appalling.

I will say I can't remember seeing such a craven response to bullying as the officials in the Chelsea-Everton game made.

Mourinho walked out onto the field screaming about a correct call. The response, amazingly, was to do nothing to Mourinho for walking onto the field and to make the next call for Chelsea (incorrectly)--and every call thereafter that I remember. Torres, who knows just how to chime in in the cheating and intimidation game (as opposed to the football game, where he's been useless for some time), then made an absolutely ludicrous comedy dive, both to get a free kick and to make it abundantly apparent to everyone on both teams that it would be the officials plus Chelsea against Everton from then on. From there it was simply a matter of ratcheting up the pressure until someone, in this case Howard, broke.

On the other hand, while I didn't get a good look if there was simulation afterwards, I thought the foul for the free kick that led to the goal was correct--there was knee to knee contact. It wouldn't surprise me if Ramirez did dive afterwards, though, as he's got a long history of doing that.

Officials behaving like this makes a mockery of the idea of competition, though of course the most notorious and longest standing beneficiary of what amounts to result fixing for big teams was Man U. But Chelsea is catching up fast, what with the farce that prevented Mourinho from losing earlier on this year, the travesty of the pens in my sig, and now this.

I'm feeling particularly incensed because I recently watched, for the first time in my life that I can remember, a team of officials get all three tricky big calls exactly right in Spurs loss in Dnipro. If you can get a competent crew in Dnipro, and you can't in London, something stinks to high heaven in the PL.

Barca claim they have done nothing wrong after paying Spanish authorities £11.2m after being charged with misappropriation of funds during the Neymar transfer.

Now, unless I'm missing something, people claim they have done nothing wrong before paying through the nose (and, giving that's quite a lot of money, several other orifices as well...) rather than afterwards. That tends to be how the legal system works.
 
I see Gus Poyet is really mad at his players giving Arsenal 3 points.They must have thought they were playing Arsenal ladies on the beach at Southend!
Now he's worried if Sunderland play the same way against City they will be humiliated.....perhaps they will make an effort at Wembley? They'd better!!!!!!
