I'm pretty sure it was twAtkinson that gave the Chelsea goal. Maybe he was in charge of the other game a year before but I think it was the lino that gave that one.

You're right mate, my bad, he gave the Lampard/Gomes non goal, there again I could be excused from apologising as there's been that many to remember! :D He gave us the pen to even out his previous ****eness! I think he's as bad as Foy has been for us atm.

Foy was okay for us last season too, he had plenty of opportunities to give pens against us in the United match as they grew more desperate and started appealing for everything. Most refs crumble in that kind of situation so I think he deserved credit for having a spine. Seemed to do alright on Sunday too playing good advantages even if I did still end up swearing at him a few times(from my seat in the pub) <whistle>

twAtkinson, Clattenberg and Webb are the ones I really can't stand, especially since they seem to be our highest rated referees! Oh and Anthony Taylor is another terrible ref, he doesn't seem to know the rules at all but he's been dropped down to the Football League I think now.

The City boss delayed dropping goalkeeper Joe Hart in order to help England qualify for the World Cup. The Chilean coach was due to drop the 26-year-old before England's World Cup qualifiers last month against Montenegro and Poland but delayed the decision so as not to knock Hart's confidence.

...whereas, finding out now that his boss has always thought he was ****e will do absolutely nothing to dent Hart's confidence.
<doh>

I'll still never forgive Foy for the Stoke game a couple seasons back.

I can see that read wrong, not Foy atm as in Foy this seaon, but that Marriner atm is as bad as Foy has been in the past...and Webb, and Clattenburg, Foy was just the first one to mind based on SoS's comment.

I agree with what you say about Foy this season.

There's a reason the most famous old boy of my school is a former Palace, Peterbrough and Norwich striker now most famous for attempting suicide...

Our most famous alums fairly recently are an NFL Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, and all-time great, and a guy who was the unofficial con man of the year 20 years ago or so. Married a woman who was a leading Republican official, and robbed her blind to feed a cocaine habit, leaving behind a trail of broken promises and bad debts. The best part about it was that she was particularly appalled he'd lied about his religion (he was raised as a Jew).

Few schools have produced both African American football players and Jewish con men of such merit.

One of my former (very former) close friends (same school, failed to graduate a year earlier, or ever, I suppose) was at least as wild a con man, but failed to achieve national notoriety.

So maybe everyone doesn't benefit...

Chelsea should apologize not the refs chief. They should send an apology out to most teams after most matches with the luck they've been having over a number of years now.

Total Portuguese pillock tots. I've gone right off Chelsea recently with him in charge. I hope fate shuts that hole under his nose by ensuring they win nothing. After that last penalty decision I bet the Chelsea fans still won't admit they are lucky and not skillful. I've been saying it for a couple of years or more.

Have to agree with you 100%

Former England captain John Terry, 32, would not make an international comeback for next summer's World Cup finals, even if the defender was asked to reconsider his retirement.

...which he won't.

No, but he'd still make the photo op at the end if we did win.
