It's the Boxing Day fixtures. There's a chance that some of these will be moved for TV, isn't there?
Spurs and West Ham at home on the same day doesn't happen often and Spurs and Arsenal playing in the same city on the same day never happens, IIRC.
One will be shifted.

Poorly thought out choices, giving it a quick browse.

No Mata in Chelsea's starting line-up, again. He won't be happy with that, despite Mourinho's insistence that he's part of his plans.
No out-and-out striker for them either and no real holding player, so I guess they're going for a lot of possession and creativity.
Be interesting to see how this pans out.

And why no Lakaku, Jose seems to be trying to prove a point and making the position at Chelsea there for Rooney to walk into.

Talking of fixture fixing, reminds me of something I found out the other day. We all know of the absurd number of times we have played away on our first game of the season, but apparently we have frequently requested to have our opening game away from home. The reason being is that the goalmouth at the Park Lane end of the stadium, sees very little natural sunlight throughout the year and so our groundsman prefers as long as is possible to prepare that area for it to be how he and the club want it to be.

Is that the same groundsman that you said was a goon OS?

Boring first half. Not sure what Chelsea's tactics were supposed to achieve, other than frustrating Utd, which is fair enough I guess.
Maybe Mourinho's waiting til later in the game to bring on a striker to try and win it?
Not much for the neutral, though. Poor spectacle.

I am really struggling with Jamie Carragher here. I am sure he is probably talking some sense, but I can't decipher most of what he is saying.

Martin Tyler "Maybe geoff Shreeves can get Wayne to tell us whether he's staying or joining Chelsea at the end of the game" <doh>. I would wager that there's more chance of him saying that he's leaving Colleen and the boys to go and live with the Dalai Lama as his new lover

If Benitez had gone to Old Toilet, left his most creative player on the bench and ground out a 0-0 draw like that, the press and the fans would have slaughtered him. How long will the special one stay special?

What an awful match. Truly dire.
Moyes is still in Everton mode, still hasn't won at Old Trafford and still can't beat any of the Sky 4 and Mourinho was extremely negative, too.
Boring.
