Because the league *** got ****** it could take 30 wins to snatch the title this year. Gulf in quality between the top 3 and the rest looks huge.

I assume you put the asterix in here, cause I don't have the swearing filter on. But I actually don't know what you are saying. What words are the *** & ****** replacing, cause I can't follow your argument otherwise?

You don't think Spurs can compete this year, I assume your top 3 are City, Utd and yourselves?

We don't need asterix, just spell the swear words correctly. The swear filter will then work for those that want to use it.<ok>

i can't understand DL. Swearing normally works, whats going on?

Edit - oh, seems other people commented since i loaded the page

Whinger now staking his future and his reputation in Cabaye.

<doh>

How pathetic is that!

That's the other side of the coin, though, SD. £10m isn't going to buy you anything in today's market, not even a slightly-better-than-average player, like Cabaye.

Whinger will be fleeced at least £25m for him, and it still won't satisfy the disgruntled Gooners.

Which ever way you look at it, Whinger has truly dropped a major bollock, this season.

Did anyone catch the banter between Carragher and Neville?

<laugh>

Carragher's discussing the problem with trying to mark van Persie and Neville agrees.
The ex-Manc then adds: "He's a bit like a burglar in your house and you don't know which room he's in."
JC: "You'd be under the bed!"
GN: "And you'd probably be the burglar!"

Because the league *** got ****** it could take 30 wins to snatch the title this year. Gulf in quality between the top 3 and the rest looks huge. Top 7 downwards almost no quality bar Southampton, Swansea and maybe West Ham.

So what you are saying is that beyond the Top 10 teams in the league there is no quality....what about Villa who just beat Arsenal?

Does that mean beyond the top 11 there is no quality?
It's expected that the promoted teams won't have much....

So really between the top 11 and 18th (ie teams 12-13-14-15-16+17) there is no quality...... fair enough I guess.

Take a look at the premier league table from 2006/7

http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2006-2007

Reading made the top 8, the gulf between the top 2 and the rest was huge.

The bottom 10 had virtually no quality.

So I would say the premier league of today, the teams in the bottom half are better then ever, the title race is tighter then ever, and the mid table teams are better then ever.

HOWEVER the league clearly doesn't have players like Henry, Drogba, VDV, Ronaldo etc so if you determine it by star players then we're weaker then past years but that doesn't mean the overall standard is poor.
