I have to admit, I was disappointed we didn't get Vermaelen when we were in the running to sign him....and after his first couple of seasons, I was even more so....not this season....he's been dreadful!!

Arteta has more heart than the rest of the team combined, but he now has a yellow and won't be able to be as aggressive. Really dissapointed with Jack. He's hiding behind his man, avoiding to get the ball.

Vermaelen is a pathetic captain. Just give it to Arteta, seriously. He is no leader and is our most shambolic defender over the last 2 years. He's only had 6 good months when he had some fire in him. Now he's become captain he's tamer than ****ing Coquelin.

Is it the scouts or is it the coaching? A number of Arsenal players seem to be getting worse over time.
