Good one! Hang on... you aren't being serious are you?

It's a hell of a trick to have a standing leg "taken out" but then not fall over until a split second after! Let's put it this way. If Bale had won a penalty by diving like that (which actually he hasn't), I would not be on the Gunners board defending him!

He was joking. Even Wenger wasn't blind enough to pretend they weren't lucky to get it.

City fans were throwing coins at the Utd players, apparently.
Rooney made a point of it on a corner and one of them caught Ferdinand quite badly.

should have been 3 0, not easy for the linesman to be fair though

perhaps he'll think twice before celebrating in front of rival fans, they were goading them all game.

Yes, it's all Rio's fault <doh>

Regardless of what Rio may or may not have been doing, it's abhorrent behaviour from the City fan/fans, if people can't control themselves when the opponent scores they shouldn't be allowed to attend matches.

poor remark Drogs..your standard of input is declining.

then again coming from a set of fans who like to throw chairs etc at oppo teams...as Fergie pointed out...im not surprised <doh>

yep, it was poor, I personally wouldn't do it. However if you're going to be an unsporting **** and not win in a gracious manner, prepare to have missiles thrown at you epecially against a bitter rival.

could you please provide a valid source and/or video of our fans throwing chairs at the opposition.

How you can even begin to justify this filth is beyond belief.

Fergie is as valid as anything you could get to counter it..as for a video......i had one on my phone but a chair knocked it out of my hands and it broke.

and your still trying to justify him getting hit...whats so ungracious about what he did.....you need to wind your neck in..it was a Derby.....they got a last minute winner...what did he do that was so bad? chase the ref around and threaten to break his legs or something?

thought not.

<laugh> Where have I justified it? My point is if you go around being a provocative winner against your bitter rivals, you're going to get hit with something.

<laugh> Can you honestly not see that this is a justification?! You are saying he got what was coming to him, in what world is that not justifying the Man City fans actions?

Where did I say 'he got what was coming to him'? Read again fella, I said if he's going to goad in front of bitter rival fans he should expect a coin to the head AT LEAST. I wouldn't celebrate in front of oppo fans, lacks class completely.

You're a complete idiot. The steward wasn't hit by a chair and it still doesn't confirm spudcock's allegation. did you even cast your inept eyes on that article by the fail <laugh>

Sorry mate, but there is absolutely NO justification for chucking coins at somebody like that. A couple of inches lower and Ferdinand could have been left with permanent damage to his sight.
The morons who threw those coins deserve whatever is coming their way - and more!..

You're clearly not good enough for the CL. That means you've been knocked out early and the first winners not to progress beyond the group stages. Not good enough for the CL. Clear Chelsea supporters. Now will you get knocked out of the EL early on too. All you've done recently is to beat your traditional patsies. Let's see how you do in the EL.

honestly, I'm not justifying it, the people who did it are complete ****ers, I'm just saying it's not the first time and if you celebrate in front of opposition fans you have to expect a reaction. since posting i've found that rio was actually celebrating in front of united fans anyway.
