Suspensions apply across all domestic competitions (Premier League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup...). He was suspended for the Bolton game.

Different rules across the leagues then what a surprise suspended from a game he was never gonna play in my opinion thats a joke. Gillingham had Max Ehmer sent off in a league game and he had to serve his suspension in the next league game despite the Gills having a Football league trophy match in midweek and those are both FL competitions but I should have guessed that the premier would be treated differently lol.

It's a bonkers rule but applied fairly. Only the three main competitions count.

I get what you're saying, and I agree it should be applied across the entire pyramid of English football at all levels, but it is what it is. We don't make the rules. It's also down to the chronology of the fixtures, which we have no control over. E.g. if our next fixture after City was a league game, then he'd have missed that, and I doubt you'd have been complaining about this. It just so happens we were fortunate that we had a cup fixture against lesser opposition which he was ineligible for.

For the morbidly curious, Marseille are currently lining up with Hojbjerg as a CB, Rabiot on the pitch on purpose, and with both Rapeson Greenwood and Neil Maupey in the attacking third

And I thought my fantasy team selections were ****e...
And they lost 1-0 to Chelsea's B team.
They wanted to re-sign Benjamin Mendy in January too, apparently. ****ing appalling club.

Southampton have five strikers on the bench, three of which are full internationals and another's an England U21 with 6 in 11 at that level.
They've got an 18-year-old midfielder up front on his own. Bizarre.

I think they'll go straight back down. Very little quality anywhere.

Also, I had no idea Adam Lalalalalalalalallana is still playing.

Russell Martin's dreadful, but they didn't show a lot of ambition in the summer.
Brought in a little bit of firepower, which he's not using, but that's about it.
They'll get smashed by the filth on the weekend, then replace him in the international break, I expect.

Watch Ramsdale turn into prime Buffon against us. You just know he's going to make Hermansen's performance against us last weekend look like child's play. Then he'll go back to being rubbish <laugh>.
