Lots of refs are shy to book your players. That's what that figure demonstrates.
You get lots of cards because you break lots of rules. Even with generous officials, you still get a few reds and moan a lot.

As I've pointed out repeatedly when talking about other sides doing it, timewasting isn't just about wasting time.
It's about game management and destroying momentum. Preventing the other team getting into a flow.

Oliver asked Walker to talk to his team, then allowed a quick restart while he was doing so.
He got several things wrong in the same incident. The goal should never have stood and he bottled it.

Wimbledon's Carabao Cup match against Newcastle has been postponed until next week due to the weather.
It's also been switched to the Saudi Stadium, due to a sinkhole opening up on the pitch.
Why couldn't they have just had it at a nice, neutral ground? Milton Keynes, perhaps? <whistle>

I'm sorry, but there is literally no tangible evidence that supports this claim at all.

You've just said refs are shy to book our players and now you're saying we do get lots of cards. Make your mind up. Which one is it?

You were one of the (few) people who thought it was the right decision when Martinelli got two yellows in about 10 seconds when we played Wolves away in the 2021/22 season. Has this ever happened before or since? No? Oh, guess who the referee was that day...

You talk about how the referee let us off in that game, but don't find it dodgy that Oliver took a £20k payment and all-expenses paid trip to referee a game in the UAE. I wonder who funded that? And I'm definitely sure this had absolutely no bearing on how ****ing terrible he was in the City game. But apparently we got all the decisions...

It's part and parcel of the game now. Every successful team does it. In fact, the current four-time consecutive Premier League champions are masters at it. Chelsea used to do it when they were winning leagues, too. Liverpool have done it under Klopp. United did it notoriously under SAF. This isn't a new thing.

Yeah, if you say so. City painting themselves as victims and taking it in turns to cry to the media is pathetic.
Doesn't help when people like yourself want to back their corner and stick with this narrative that Oliver was doing us favours when he was inconsistent throughout the entire game.

The timewasting stats are evidence that support this claim.
Your constant fouling of keepers and defenders on set-pieces going unpunished supports this claim.

Refs being shy to book your players and you still getting lots of bookings isn't inconsistent.
You should get a lot more than you do. Martinelli committed two really obvious yellow offences:
    https://arsenalist.com/f/martinelli-picks-up-two-yellows-on-same-play-2022-02-10.html

As for Michael Oliver being bent, you're arguing with the wrong person on that one! <laugh>
You're suggesting that he's corrupt because he's being paid by the people that sponsor you, though.
Remember what the E in UAE stands for?

I don't disagree. You're currently the worst perpetrators of it though, factually speaking.
You won't find me defending other teams that do it.

Again, I'm not defending City. I'm criticising a ref that you think is **** and bent.

Right, this to-ing and fro-ing has been going on for long enough. This is my last response to you on this - and I'm sure most people reading about this are getting bored.

Standing in front of a 6'2+ goalkeeper with a large frame, without grabbing, pulling or directly obstructing him, is a foul now, is it?
We've had goals given against us when opposition players have literally grabbed the goalkeeper. There's no sympathy from me on this.
The fact these incidents frequently go 'unpunished' doesn't mean it's a foul, it means the goal is deemed legal to not overturn. Otherwise it'd be clamped down on by now considering how many set-piece goals we score and how our 'dark arts' or 'conduct' is clearly under a lot of scrutiny.

If our players are getting lots of booking, then referees clearly are not shy to book them.

Well, of course you would think that, wouldn't you?

Again - when has an incident like this happened before or after? Conveniently, this is the only time we've seen it occur. If Martinelli gets booked for the first incident, the second yellow is less likely to happen. It was a needless sending off.

The difference being, we were not the ones who funded that decision.

Yes, but you're criticising him for apparently giving us the rub of the green. The same guy who has given us more red cards than any other team. The same guy who didn't want to sent Kovacic off at The Emirates last season because 'it would have ruined the game'. He's a dickhead.

They are directly obstructing him. Deliberately so. That's literally why they're there.

They are. You still get cards because your behaviour is consistently appalling.

    Yes.

Other players don't do it. You never see anyone prevent a throw-in, then barge another player in the back in the same move.
It was a needless sending off. Martinelli shouldn't have behaved like a pillock.

Neither are City. Their owner and your sponsor are the same state. They funded it.

He gets a lot of big games and your players are more likely to commit red card offences in those games.
They still get plenty of other red cards though, as you've got no discipline and never accept fault.
Your manager and your fans think that you should be untouchable.
It's reflected in your double dictatorship sponsorship and constantly picking a rapist.

Raphael Varane has retired from football, having only played 20 minutes for his new club, Como.
He picked up an injury on his debut for them against Sampdoria in the first round of the Coppa Italia.

With Son about to confer about a new contract, would one think he needs to find pastures new elsewhere? He has done wonderful service with Spurs and would be fondly remembered, but is something missing or is he being played out of position or is he just in need of another partner like Harry?

Their second string probably comfortably turn us over at the moment, especially if we play our second string too! Plus knowing our luck, De Bruyne might be one of those players who will have played “the least minutes” by then too.
