I think whether Everton have anything to play for is irrelevant....can easily work both ways as they could play without fear if they are safe.

That game is away, so if they are safe by then :

1. they can get spanked going for it, without the Boodison effect
2. I hope that Dele Alli is in their starting XI

Thought he was a Liverpool fan lads?

Questions people calling him a Liverpool fan by pointing out how often he sends off Everton players! <laugh>
Ive never looked into it tbh just assumed he was a Liverpool fan from the nut job cru in here calling him Michael Olivarpool for years.
Blame yaselves for that I'm just a innocent bystander hit by one of your stray shots <laugh>

You think that someone who admits to being a Liverpool fan would ref your games? <laugh>

Why not? Tierney gets all the manc games and he's a manc.

I think every team should have a designated ref so we don't have the guessing and confusion

The Premier League refs generally don't claim to support Premier League teams.
Despite a bunch of them coming from Manchester and Merseyside.
Because, perhaps? <whistle>

Yeh I'm with ya I think it's bollocks too.

Its a wonder why fans haven't got together and campaigned for better way to pick and choose refs, performance tables, making them spend 10mins after each game having to explain decisions and answer the questions or something that makes them accountable, then perhaps we'd have a better standard.

We've had various discussions on here as to how to improve the standard.
For me, you have to cut out all the on-field abuse and misinformed pundits talking **** to start with.
Who'd want to take that job at the moment? ****s. So what have we got? ****s.

Next to go is the current trend, which Oliver is the most obvious exponent of.
They've been told to "manage the event", rather than be an impartial official.
That means letting everything go early, then going mental late on when you've lost control.
It's ****ing awful.

Mike them up for broadcast during the games, including audio from VAR, and publish their match reports after the game. Would take minimal investment and effort.

A complete rewrite of the Laws to make them clearer and to make sure it is never in any team's interests to deliberately foul would help a lot.

We have several posters from other teams who come on here and engage in discussion and friendly banter. They often have interesting things to say. You don't.

How anyone can derive satisfaction from winding people up is beyond me. It's not normal.

That's the last reply you get from me.

The language used in the laws is also IMO unnecessarily arcane, as is often the case with those kinds of documents. It feels like there could be a lot of simplification.

I've said for years foreign refs are the answer.

I don't profess to support AFC Wimbledon but if I were a referee and they were playing a northern team I'd probably (subconsciously) favour them.

Referees are human beings just like fans, pundits and journalists. To deny refs aren't biased is a denial of reality.
