Many thought van Gaal and Mourinho were the right appointments. They both spent big on the wrong players. You don't think you could find a manager that can play better football than you're playing and improve on a return of 5 wins from 23? You do need structural reform, but I refuse to believe there isn't a manager out there who could improve your fortunes with some of the players you have. I believe you also need a mentality shift at the club too, which Ole isn't capable of doing.
A change of manager wouldn't solve all your issues. Providing you made the right appointment, it'd be a step in the right direction though.
Solskjaer is trying to get rid of the high earners who are past their past/never good enough and bring in youth, but he needs to bring in quality players to support them.
Solskjaer has no experience so people will question whether he can do it, but handing the reins over to someone else who might have different ideas is not a very appealing alternative. There needs to be a period of some stability.
Perhaps a DoF for Ole might help.
I thought you looked just as woeful as Utd last Monday - although you appear to be able to step it up a few levels at times, albeit not on any consistent basis.

wasn't even a good dive, he delayed it too long.
