It doesn't do anything, apart from handballs and offsides. They back the ref and the decision stands, like they did with this one.
What ya laughing at? A kick from behind on your leg in the box and no where near the ball. Play on yeh?
Unless its at Anfield with VVD booting Lamela on the back of his knee ... then there is a justified tear fest of Lady Di proportions Now stop cheering me up and let me wallow in my misery
I know we have lots of banter on the prem board but just want to wish Loris all the very best and a full speedy recovery
I don't think any manager could find a solution with these players. The team needs at least four top class players in key areas of the team. Then there's a chance some of the promising young ones might flourish. But what are the chances of picking up the right players in January (or the summer)and at a cost of what? £300M, £400M? There's no quick fix. At least you have a basically good squad with less rebuilding needed provided the issues with the rebel players are satisfactorily resolved in some way. We are s*** and we know we are.
Despite an absolutely putrid performance (again), looking at the results this weekend, it was important we got the win today. Spurs, United & Leicester all losing. I would add City to that, considering our close proximity to them in the table, but I know they will pull away from us shortly. I still believe the longer Xhaka is being played, and the longer Emery stays at the club, we will make games very difficult for ourselves. But what we currently have is a reasonable return to build from going into the international break. From my perspective, I'm pinning all my hopes on Holding, Tierney, Bellerin and Lacazette coming into the side to instantaneously improve us. I have to. Because I will not be able to put up with this rubbish football for much longer.
You don't think you could find a manager that can play better football than you're playing and improve on a return of 5 wins from 23? You do need structural reform, but I refuse to believe there isn't a manager out there who could improve your fortunes with some of the players you have. I believe you also need a mentality shift at the club too, which Ole isn't capable of doing. A change of manager wouldn't solve all your issues. Providing you made the right appointment, it'd be a step in the right direction though.
We’re a bit similar in that due to so many of the squad pissing about at the moment, the hope is that once Lo Celso and Sessegnon are fit they can come into the side and provide a much needed boost. Foyth too, he was starting to really come into his own towards the end of last season and our defence has been shabby so far so there’s plenty of opportunities both at CB and RB for him to stake a claim once match fit. Frustrating as hell though, really had a good feeling about this season. 8 league games in and a part of me just wants it to end already.
It might sound bizarre, but I feel the same. As I've said on the Arsenal board, if Emery gets us 3rd/4th playing turgid football, he still needs to leave in May 2020. I'm sick of us having no recognised style and relying on luck, rather than good defending, to get us out of trouble. It won't last. It never does. At both ends of the pitch, we should be playing far better than we have been with the players at our disposal. We've invested heavily in the squad, got rid of 95% of the deadwood and were coming into the season highly positive. All that good feeling has been slightly corroded because we are witnessing the same mistakes as last year.
