I don't see it as wasting energy, I see a match by winning by as many goals as possible and not having to hold on at the end after being three goals ahead. Also being three up in 23 minutes and then waiting for a 94th minute deflection shows a weakness which needs addressing in both instances. Even a pundit agreed that the Huddersfield match became boring because of the lack of goals from early on. I saw it as a good opportunity to shrink the goal difference between us and the top two teams but we let them off the hook from a real thrashing.
