And Marriner making a complete, utter and total clown of himself is the cherry on top. Maybe the worst decision of last year in my sig, grand larceny against West Brom earlier this year, and now he sends off the wrong man when Oxe himself is pleading with him not to make a mockery of himself and the PL... This is excellent entertainment. 4-0. Happy 1,000th, Arsene!
please log in to view this image I'll laugh harder if Wenger gets sent to the stands or kicks his water bottle.
Somebody seems to have confiscated his water bottle. It's currently recuperating in the refuge for abused water bottles.
Correction. Nobody should have been sent off, as the shot was going wide. So Marriner screwed up twice, not once, with the sending off. I'm waiting for him to pile into the little car with the other clowns in it and drive off the pitch.
Oxlade Chamberlain dived to handball it, how is that not a red card? The fact it was going wide is irrelevant.
The ****er saved it, so I've no sympathy for anyone pleading that it was probably not going to go in. How the hell is the ref supposed to see that with any accuracy? Total balls up sending off the wrong man, though.
Whilst it's nice to see Ars smashed, I wish it could have been against any other team. I can't really enjoy it as much knowing that Chelski have the benefit of the result. As for the handball, need a technical question answered. Is the red card for denial of a goalscoring opportunity? If the ball isn't going in then is it an opportunity, and if not should it be a red? A deliberate handball elsewhere on the field isn't a red card. How is it that if there is any questionable decisions going on then Chelski always seem to be the beneficiaries!
"A deliberate handling offense to deny an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by any player other than a goalkeeper in his own penalty area." It's only a red if the shot's going in, but I can understand why the ref thought that it was on target. Oxo-cube did, too! https://vine.co/v/MMnb0MxXp1J
Townsend tweeted during the second half of that drubbing, asking if we'd see another selfie from Szczesny after the game!
I thought that, at the very least, if was going to hit the post - the shot had curve on it. So, in a way, it was a goal scoring opportunity. Anyway, who cares?
Chelsea benefit from an egregious sending off when playing a North London team. Not the first time that's happened this month...
So the goons have been hammered by Liverpool, City and Chelsea. Normally we couldn't take the piss as them three teams hammered us but we weren't claiming to be title challengers!
I'm waiting for either Peter Herbert or Judas to accuse Marriner of being racist, saying he thinks all black players look the same which explains why he sent off Gibbs rather than AO-C. No, he's just a shambolic excuse for a referee - and not the only one of those in the Premier League by any stretch of the imagination.
