It's never going to happen, Little Luke. 'Pool creamed United because United are absolutely ****e under Moyes, not because 'Pool are title contenders. It's that simple. When 'Pool come against Chavs and £ity, they will crumble. Trust me.
I trust you. But I don't want any of those three to win. Nor Arsenal, come to think of it. Anyone but Liverpool if you press me.
Expecting defeat in the tie, yes, but I've commented on here before that probably my best Utd memory (an early one for me and pre- SAF) is this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26490554 It was somehow more exciting when you didn't expect to win every game - and were given no chance in the tie. Too much to hope for a repeat tonight?
Quite a few of Utd's players actually "showed up" tonight. Rooney, RVP, Welbeck, and Giggs all played well. De Gea saved them several times, however. Their defence is still a shambles though. Can't see them getting past the next round.
Oh, I can see them getting utterly humiliated in the next round. Imagine if they draw Real or Bayern!
what the **** is going on in this game?! Oxlade chamberlain handles it on the line but the ref sends Gibbs off! absolute shocker! I actually feel for Arsenal. We've been on the receiving end of these ridiculous decisions multiple times this season. at 2-0, Arsenal had a chance, but that's game over after only 17 mins. how can 3 officials get the wrong man??!!
There was a replay where you could see Oxlade saying " it was me, ref" it makes a nonsense of the rules if they rescind Giibs' card, but don't take action against Chamberlain..
