IMHO none of the above in isolation cost him his job the Spurs (though #3

The thing for me is that I expected him to be gone anyway.
But to the England job after securing a CL slot for Spurs (thus proving he
could raise a squad of lesser collective ability to compete against squads
with far better collective talent) .

Like Arry, AVB will be seen as the architect of his own downfall.
Though recent games under Sherwood are starting to ask questions about
