It's always difficult when a new manager comes in, new ideas, old favoured players suddenly find themselves not quite so favoured, etc. I really don't see the problem with giving the manager a season to settle in. There is far too much impatience in football these days. Us Spurs fans know what it means to truly be patient.

You mean you who started a thread insulting Boas after about 3 matches last season?

It wasn't after 3 matches, it was after about 3 months, when AVB had persisted with a system that clearly wasn't working. His short-sighted tactics cost us vital points and a place in the CL. I wasn't the only Spurs fan, either here or in the real world who, quite rightly, voiced his anger, I was merely the one who balls big enough to put my head above the parapet to start the discussion.

Why do you Gooners always have to reduce your comments to wumming? Can you not see why it is that you and your kind are not welcome here?

"It is almost as though Spurs are taking the mickey by signing all these players. Is Daniel Levy holding up the Gareth Bale transfer to stop Arsenal from signing any Real Madrid players?" (Martin "call me lightening" Keown, on BBC Live)

<doh>
Has it really taken you that long to work it out, sunshine?

I don't think I've got particularly large testicles but I was criticisng AVB too at the start of last season

Anyway, having now got BT Sport I came on to post about the Hull game.

So pleased to see Hudd playing well, and it looks to me that he's running around more than he did with us recently.

Looks a good move for him. Jake's doing his bit too, and a draw at half time is about right.

I think BT's coverage is excellent, a bit like Sky's used to be at the start of their time, before certain people on there started slagging off Spurs on a regular basis.

I'm particularly impressed with having ref Halsey as an analyst, most refs know a lot more about the game's laws and 'tight decisions' than players so it's great to hear his views. David James too seems a great acquisition, big kudos to BT they're really showing Sky how to do it, far prefer them so far.

He's a bit behind the times as he's been busy with the taxman, from what I hear...

Fans of all teams are welcome on this board, HIAG. Please don't suggest otherwise. <ok>

For the record, I wasn't referring to the sensible, polite non-partisan poster (the kind without a chip on his shoulder) but to the PESKIE-like wum poster.

Just to clarify.

Ray Winstone is at the Hammers game and has just seen Stoke go 0-1 up.

"Who's the Daddy?" eh, Ray.

Another couple of goals for Jordan Rhodes of Blackburn today. Surprised nobody's moved for him, especially as he's counted as homegrown despite playing for Scotland.
His club seem to be having financial difficulties too and trying to trim their wage bill, so he might not cost the world, though I doubt they'll take a loss on him.

I was suggesting we take a punt on him a couple of years back.
