Ribery is a bit of a player allegedly - despite looking like Gary Neville's uglier cousin.

But the underage hooker allegations were dropped.

Hey, I'm not saying that he didn't deserve it, but the hooker thing put any chance that he had to bed, I thought.
This is now the face of European football, too:

"Do I expect you to vote for me, Mr Messi? No, I expect you to die!"

Thought Utd's was decent. Can see City going out again

Shakhtar might have sold a few players but, as usual, they've spent a lot on new players from Brazil to replace them. Leverkusen are a quality counterattacking side and if it weren't for there weakness in goal and losing Cavrajal then they would have a chance of causing upsets in the later stages. Sociedad are a very well drilled passing team who can cause any side problems, particularly English teams as they don't seem to fair well against the Spanish passing football. United should go through but if they struggle in Europe like they have in recent years then I can easily see them going out.

I was saying its a tough group and everyone was saying "are you joking" and "United will p*** their group", toughest group we have had for a while.

It's all about Rachel Wyse on SSN now. ;)

Does anyone else get the impression that the old codgers who run AFC don't actually like or watch football?
<laugh>

By the way, was browsing the Gooners' board again (it's hilarious at this moment in time, so please do get over there yourselves and enjoy the fun!), and found another PESKIE gem:-

"Spurs will have spent 1OOm by the time the window closes. That is a **** load of cash on a par with Chelsea and City trying to buy the league. If you don't finish in the top four this season it's going to be a monumental waste of cash. The pressure most definitely is on the spuds to justify that huge outlay this season."

Again, it's a <doh> from me.

PESKIE thinks that AVB has been told that he's got to work miracles and win something this season, with a completely new squad of players. He doesn't appear to have contemplated the possibility that this new squad is AVB's foundation for the next five or six seasons.

Then again, I am trying not to be too hard on PESKIE, since whilst he is wumming, his board is burning. It's going to be melt-down over there, come Tuesday morning.

Away with those Charlottes!I can't keep my mind on football.....like what will Chelsea do with Torres and Ba?
