I can't stand Alan smith. It's painful listening to him. He shouldn't be allowed to commentate on arsenal games.

Arsenal are still a dangerous team. They do have some good players. Their team tonight is strong so i would never write them off. Problem they may have if they fail to sign anyone is if they get a load of injuries. Their bench, Podolski aside, looks very weak.

Given TMT isn't around at the moment I'll fill in.

Chelsea lucky again, og for the first goal, a winning goal for a player who should've been sent off and may have been offside and then topped off by dodging a stonewall penalty. Lucky, lucky Chelsea <whistle>

The Turks were dreadful tonight. One does get the very distinct feeling that when Arsenal come up a half-decent side they are going to get an utter stuffing.

Don't want them to go out of the CL too early, though,

This does happen a lot, it's a useful talent

Villa has shown us, tonight, that there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of this Chelsea side under Mourhino.

Its a difficult call you make about Mourinho, every team is keen at the season's start and Villa thoroughly deserved their win at Arsenal. Chelsea were the better team in the first half without doubt but Villa played well in the second and if they continue that form will take points off anybody.

I think therefore one should not judge until at least 6 or seven games have been played then one should be able to see the players settling in to themselves and their prospective teams should really start to show their title aspirations.

I would assume this includes Chelsea. Your team started the game well and forced an own goal however, Jose realised they were not good enough to go through or around Villa`s defence so mid-way through the second half resorted to hoofing the ball over the top in the hope Lukaku could do something.

They are going to be a good team this year, no more hammering and fair play to lambert for sticking with his youngsters as they will be better for the year, at most other clubs they would have been deemed "not ready" but in many ways they needed the harsh lessons of last year and this year I reckon they will be a decent side.

Arsenal are working on deals to sign Real Madrid pair Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria.

Ironically this may help Madrid fund the deal for Bale

I thought that if we do sign these players, they'd be used to fund Real signing Suarez, i assumed they already have the money for Bale, given that they can use as much public money as they want.
