    Arsenal are out.
Milan's complacency didn't actually cost them, in the end.
Only Chelsea left in the CL now.

That cheers me up. Shame Birmingham haven't had a little bit of luck, otherwise we could've had some extra time :(

I wish the ITV would stop sucking off Chelsea too. Normally they plump for the underdog but there was barely an encouraging comment made about Birmingham all night. No jokes about Chelsea being the underdogs, please :D

Complacency!!! They took a few quid not to score. Thankfully VP wanted to show off when it was easier to score and they are out <laugh>

Amaar - Milan were missing players from the 1st leg, and after a wake up call 1st half, decided to keep you out...and did. They went into the game not needing a goal really...and they were right. :)

That game reminded me of some of Liverpool's UEFA Cup matches in the mid-to-late 90's: Lose the first leg 3-0, score early in the second leg and score a second with about 15 minutes to go, then claim they lost valiantly instead of admitting they ballsed up the first leg so badly.

It will be interesting to know how bad the injuries are to the 'ox' and the 'walnut'. Last night might have been a pyrrhic victory if it hampers the goons quest for 4th spot.

My personal view was that we wouldnt of won 3-0 if they hadnt had a 4-0 lead. I felt like they walked around for 45 minutes and then upped it second half and were probably the better side. Sure the injuries didnt help but in my view milan were very complacent and lazy in the first half.

Thats an unpopular view on our board though. I understand we played well...gave it a go and kept our confidence up for the next game.

    So thats good.

But in my honest view (no bias) they literally walked around in the first half. Then the second was pretty even with them maybe being the slighlty better side.

The 1st half was a complete non event. They just didnt try.

And were missing 5/6 of their first team. But mainly they were just complacent. Shockingly complacent. Gary Neville was right though, in a way scoring 3 in the first half worked against us because they got told to start running around at half time.

That first half I have never seen a side play so lazy. They literally didnt run in or out of possesion.

We were missing a large portion of our midfield as well, don't forget.

see arsenal for life,if you lose your Spurs hatred when you come on the board,we can have a good football conversation, which is good

He must be Whinger's replacement for RVP <ok>

I have not seen the game, just read the match reports.
However the one thing I read was that Wenger blamed the ref for his side losing(no surprise there).
He said that he gave too many free kicks in the centre of the pitch to AC, why can't he just say that his team performed admirably and is proud of their effort instead of playing the "its the refs fault card".

Be interesting how the Goons come back from last night. Their season is now over in terms of winning anything, and I wonder what the reaction will be, especially if the injuries last night turn out to be more than a few days out?

Wenger is trying to play it off as some great performance, rather than the fact Milan phoned it in because he ****ed up the first leg so badly they didn't feel they needed to try.

Because, like the majority of deluded egomaniac's. Nothing can be his team's, and therefore by reflection, his fault.
