Money!
A mark a yen a buck or a pound, that clinking clanking sound, of money money money money....
If money had to be spent to ensure that the regions had
their own big stadium, rather than Wembley or nothing, so be it..
"There are two other big quesitons:
(1) Why the semi-finals have to be at Wembley at all?"
Prior to the rebuild, they didn't.
The exception in modern times was the 1991 NLD SF.
The supporters for both clubs would be travelling together
on trains, to go to a geo neutral venue.
The policing concerns made Wembley the better option.
The money the FA would make from a full house game
no doubt helped a little bit too.
(Possibly the first time that those words have been used together.)
