7 goals in 34 minutes. Van Persie scored. But he would have made no difference to Arsenal today, of course he wouldn't.
Are United playing Reading in a nearby school playground?Remember? 10 goals the winner.5 halftime. Oh those days of old! Oi mister! Can we have our ball back?
The mere fact that RVP was in your team, made space for other players to get the ball forward, because RVP's movement is so good. Without him, you are a very ordinary side, and hold absolutely no fear for any team. Every side that goes to the Library will attack you and believe they can win.
They still seem to me to be a bit of a dangerous unpredictable side though HIAG. Anyway as for today I know that there's a lot of euphoria around but the only teams secure in their positions are the Manchesters. The rest of us from 3rd downwards have very tenuous grips on the placings and I'm not sure that it will change too much for us with Everton and Swansea coming up next. If we can get 4 points from the next two I'll be happy and confident we will have some good subsequent results. Lawro thinks we are going to go in fits and starts with runs of wins followed by runs of defeats. If that's the case we need everybody fit and maybe a January signing to prevent it from happening. Well done today Spurs. Also let's not forget that a silly defensive error and an own goal stopped us having three clean sheets.
Weren't United playing at home today.I've heard most of their fans come from that part of the country?
For me, that last paragraph says it all about the different worlds that Chelsea & City inhabit. Torres, ONLY cost £50mil!! But now, he's got to go. So, that's o.k. then, only £50mil wasted! I think it does real credit to clubs like ours that we can even begin to compete in a world that has that kind of thinking.
Everton are draw kings. 7 in the last 10. I think we stand a good chance of coming away with a point or maybe all three.
Just seen the Citeh "penalty" on MOTD. Yeah, I get the that it could be deemed a foul, but if you give that you'd have to give at least 10 penalties every match. Sure you could argue that if they were given then all this holding and shirt pulling in the box would stop but fact is they are almost never given, so that when they are you can certainly say it's a soft penalty. If I were Everton I'd be a bit upset about that being given.
Last team to beat at Goodison was Arsenal back in March so you'll have to play very very well. I doubt there is a better current record in the league. Edit - Except for City duh.
I remember when Robbie Earle failed to keep a straight face on Footie Focus when saying Man Utd fans would be coming from all over the country for a match with Wimbledon...
We have a good record against Everton in the PL but overall the win difference is about three to us. I'm going to obey a very old and famous Latin motto, namely "Keepus Gobbus Shuttus."
