We only need to win 7-0 to go above Chelsea. Easy.

more realistic - a 3-0 win for us today and a 2-0 defeat for West brom puts us above them!

District said that he doubted we'd be level on points or go ahead considering the next to matches for the respective teams. Let's see.

    Chelsea beat Spurs.
    Spurs beat West Ham.
West Ham beat Chelsea. It's a FUNNY old game isn't it?

West Ham fully deserved the win. 1st half was more down to WHU being poor but as soon as they inevitably took it up a gear in the 2nd half Chelsea couldn't live with them.

I said that at the time. I wanted Chelsea to go in for him but no we had to try and go down the tippy tappy root.

  7. Do you fear for the rest of your season, DL?

Or do you believe that Coco can turn things round for you?

Personally, I feel that he was brought in by Mad Dog because he gave him a load of bull$hit about being able to get Torres playing at anything near half-decent. But I don't think Torres has it him to get back to where he was, I think he's burnt out. So Coco has painted himself into a corner: if he sticks with Torres, you'll finish outside the top 4, and if he drops him, Mad Dog will sack him anyway, because I don't think that Mad Dog is prepared to accept that he wasted £50m on a complete donkey. Either way, Coco was a very bad choice of manager, and I cannot believe that Mad Dog got rid of fans' favourite RDM for him. I can also understand a lot of the criticism that you Chelsea fans are getting for turning your anger on Coco rather than Mad Dog. it does seem somewhat cowardly.

    What do you reckon?

London Derby mate, anything can happen.

You simply cannot predict games that involve any 2 of Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Spurs as has been proven time and time again down the years. Okay Spurs have an abysmal record away to Arsenal and Chelsea but at WHL are as good as anyone in derby games.

Crushing defeat but I always felt at 0-1 West Ham would get back into it.

It's going to be tight this year for sure. It's a 5 horse race at the moment for 3rd and 4th spot. Chelsea with the most resources and probably better XI but comfortably worst manager of the 5.

I fear for our season for sure, but like many Chelsea fans I feel emotionally detatched at the moment.

Until Torres goes, we will never reach our potential.

  10. Agreed <ok>

Which is why I think Coco is a dead clown walking. The only possible reason Mad Dog could have brought him in was in a desperate bid to get Torres' value up so that at least half of his £50m fee can be recovered, and he clearly believed that Coco was worth a punt. But for those of us who can see that Torres is a spent force, it was a project that was always doomed to fail. The thing is, what else does Coco have to offer. Very little, I believe; and with the fans already on his back, I simply cannot see where you go from here.

So who takes the honours today. Is it West Ham for their 3-1 win or Swansea for their 0-2 or us for our 0-3? I have to go for Swansea who arguably had the hardest fixture and we come a close second with the Bubbles blowing behind us.
Strangely I wanted Arsenal to win so they'd be nearer Chelsea and WBA to be above them.

Now next match without Bale will be a test of our character. Everton had a creditable 1-1 today and almost won it. I don't expect to win next week but what a bonus if we do. COYS.

It's all going according to plan. <whistle>

Last year we let you have a 9 point lead by January so that you have a fair shot at finishing above us. This year we'll give you a head start a bit earlier.

Does your plan involve finishing below Stoke?

I don't think they've taken into account that AVB won't be flirting with the England job or defending himself in court for the second half of the season.

Great to take the early advantage over them though, we've got Everton away and then Swansea at home coming up so it could easily be turned back around for Arsenal if we follow the same fate they did(or worse!)

  18. All joking aside, you have got to be seriously worried, surely?

You were taken apart on your own turf by a team that you should be beating, if you have any pretensions of finishing in the top 4.

Last season, you have RVP to rescue you, game after game. This season, who do you have? Walnut? Seriously? He is not a striker, no matter how desperately he wants the glory for scoring all the goals. He was anonymous today. He really won't be missed, so get rid of him in January, and hope that you can buy someone decent and save what could be a very embarrassing season for you.

We needed to give you a 5 point lead by early December, that you are so **** to be within 4 points of Stoke in 15 games is your own problem. <whistle>

We can't do it all for you.

No one was taken apart really, we just didn't create **** and couldn't score within 80 odd minutes, and then when desperation kicked in we created space for them in the dying minutes.

RVP wouldn't be able to score either if we didn't create **** for him today.
