We've just gone AWAY to the DEFENDING CL
champions and nearly won. superior.
Different competition RDBD. PLEASE come down from this lofty peak, I don't want to see you fall flat on your face. Our Wembley form is patchy at best with Bournemouth, yes the second bottom team going very close to opening the scoring. Liverpool FC isn't AFC Bournemouth, IT is superior and could well beat us on Saturday.

Could do but I am getting the feeling that Poch has 2 plans of execution for a game depending on if we are up against a 'park the bus' side or a team with attacking intent, where we try to pop them off on the break.

Im confident of a result. If anything it will be tiredness that does us but Pool have been playing tonight too

"Catching them on the break" is what I'm hoping for against Dortmund. They're going to be feeling desperate and need points so they'll attack attack attack and leave themselves open. Unless we're stupid I can't see us losing to them.

On saturday the Poool face the team that :

1. Ranks #1 in PL defence over the past 2 seasons

2. Ranks #1/2 in PL attack over the past 2 seasons

3. Has just gone toe to toe away against the defending
CL champions, with far from their strongest starting XI

They will have far more homework to do on avoiding
defeat to Spurs than vice-versa.

Strange how people see things differently Luke. Some of my fellow Spurs supporters are on cloud nine and are making rash statements which means a sure fire rebound.

They're facing a team struggling at Wembley,Swansea drew and we made hard work of Bournemouth.

That isn't actually evidence of us 'struggling'. We've been by far the better team against all our opponents at Wembley except for Chelsea where it was pretty even. Luck plays a part. If we played the matches again we'd likely win all four of them. We are better than Liverpool and ought to beat them but any one off match can have any result. If we create 10 good chances in a match with a probability of 0.3 of each one ending in a goal, then we will win 3-0 on average but there will still be one or two matches a season when we don't score

They're facing a team who punish anyone this season
who does not attempt to park the bus.

Do you think the Poool will park the bus on the
Wembley pitch ??

I can see both side of this game.

Liverpool fans: How can you win 7 - 0 in the CL and then a few days later lose to Spurs who haven't played well at Wembley until we turn up.

OR

Spurs fans: How can we go to Real Madrid and draw with, arguably, the best team in the world and then lose at home to a team with no defence.

Liverpool are extremely dangerous going forward, there should be no complacency on Spurs side.

If we have Dembele or Wanjama back and Davies too I will feel a lot more confident.

Liverpool will come onto us. Should be good for us.
