Pokey goal by City,I thought.Sterling passes through/in off a defenders legs and with the goalie leaving a 12 inch (?) gap between him and the goalpost lets in a touch in. Poor old Sunderland. They'll be waving to Newcastle if their luck continues!
Very pleased that Spurs current GD is at least 10-odd to the teams below them in the top 6 (it could come down to GD for 3rd/4th places) .
perhaps we can "do" Chelsea on goal difference. That would get the oil wells working triple time!!!!!!?
We have 10 more games left this season. Three are against teams in the top 10 - Arsenal, United and Southampton. All three are at home. The remaining seven games are against teams in the bottom half of the table - Burnley [A], Swansea [A], Watford [H], Bournemouth [H], Leicester [A], The Spammers [A], Hull Hotspurs [A] . It's there for you boys, you've earned it, now don't **** it up.
Who'd have thought...... Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal forward dropped after row in training - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39175453
Oooops. Of course. Bottom half teams can be as dangerous but we are better than them and MUST show it and make it pay.
Just remind our players about a game at Newcastle last season. What the hell happened to us in that game.We played a relegated team and got hammered.....and made Arsenal look a bit better than they were. (Probably saved Wenger's job too!)
Sure but it's draws against Sunderland, WBA, Leicester and Bournemouth that have cost us the league title. Win those 4 games and we were the better team in all of those games and we're 2 points behind Chelsea They must learn to put these teams away.
They'll be fighting for their lives... I wonder if they'll be more than happy to set up for a draw. That means us banging on the door, trying the wrong set of keys time and time again...hoping someone just smashes the ****ing window in so we can open the door. I hate them games.
All the opposition prior to the NLD will have varying degrees of urgency regarding a win (playing to draw against Spurs may not be enough) , but the boys should at least set themselves a minimum target of 12 pts from those 6 games (however it may be achieved) .
Pleased to see it. In a season where Ryan Mason suffered a serious head injury it is imperative that dangerous play is appropriately punished. No more swinging elbows or leaving boots in around players heads. I would like jumping at opposition players without looking at the ball punished appropriately. It's cowardly and dangerous.
It'll be interesting to see how they cope without Zlatan. He's been ever-present for them this season and is more or less their sole supplier of goals. They don't really have another out n' out striker who can lead the line and bring the likes of Rashford, Mata and Martial into the game.
