To be fair, we didn't have a keeper for the first half of the season. Unless you count Stekelenburg, which I don't. With Forster in goal we might have taken points off you at St Marys in December.
Think Leicester have been possessed by the Chelsea of last season, grabbing that one goal and then defending superbly. It results in a very boring match to watch but kudos to them as it clearly works.
Yes, I get it that with four shots on target you assumed you would score four, but for the rest of us it is normal to need more shots on target for each goal. No team can rely on every shot going in, and if the club relies on that happening then it's not skill but luck if it happens.
You get a lucky draw and then a convincing win against our reserves You lot have been superb this season but this bitterness and excuses are what I expect from Arsenal. We have won convincing playin exciting football for the 1st half of the season and now were solid, difficult to beat and take our chances. Stats and excuses wont count for nothing come what May
WBA beat the Gooners 2-1 with only 1 shot on target, which is 1 more than they have managed 9 times this season. Who pays to watch that?
Disappointing that the referee has once again had a huge influence on another 3 points for Leicester, that was a penalty to Saints and a red card for Simpson, there was also a similar incident when Leicester played Newcastle, again nothing was given. It was funny seeing Morgan and Simpson grinning like a couple of Cheshire Cats in their post match interview, knowing full well the referee had given them another huge slice of luck. It is happening all too regularly for us Spurs fans though, their good luck is hard to take when we are trying to chase them. Referees seem to have been caught up in the whole Leicester fairy tale in my opinion, they are picking up points they don`t really deserve, and refereeing is playing a part in it. That might sound bitter, but their football does not befit that of champions in my opinion. All Spurs can do is keep going and hope for a change of Leicester luck, but it doesnt look like happening they way things have gone for them this season.
It doesnt matter what team you lot but it. Your the ones going on about beating our reserves. If you put out you under 10's and beat our reserves I wouldnt give a monkeys and it has no reflection on the title race
... yes I am sure that is why they were grinning. ..fcuk knows how unbearable they would have been if we'd won and gone 7 points clear .. Wimmer at West Ham ... Diet against the Goons. ... stone walled second yellows... perhaps the refs have a conspiracy eh?
Come on! It was a blatant penalty and red card. There's every reason to believe it would have been a totally different game had that been given...
Someone loves exaggerating a bit. How have we gone on about beating your reserves? One post simply mentions about Collymore saying no one's worked out how to beat you and so TCM said that we did convincingly and now all of a sudden you claim we're all going on about beating your reserves and how it impacts the title race? Have a laugh.
Sunderland will fight for their lives next week. If Defoes in the mood, it won't be an easy afternoon for Leicester. It'll be scrappy and could go either way
Come off it! You could clearly see from the side angle his arm move away from his body towards the ball!..
In regards to the penalty shout, it's one of those where if it goes against you you're aggrieved but if goes for you, you say it's justice. Peter Schmeichel made an interesting call in that all handballs should be penalised regardless of whether it was ball-to-hand or hand-to-ball. That'd have it's pro's and con's because it'd take away any doubt as to whether it should or shouldn't be given but then I think you'd find a lot of players, especially the tricky, flair types who'd deliberately try and chip the ball up to an opponents arm to try and claim a foul/ penalty.
