I wonder whether European football will miss Chelsea?
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
If a team were to win the CL or EL and finish outside of the top four, then they get a bonus spot now, effectively.Just Barca to do the formalities, and that means no repeat of 2012 should Spurs finish 4tn.
Disastrous night for Chelsea, so far.
Injuries to Costa and Hazard. Looks like they're going out, barring something amazing.
Their game against Everton on Saturday will be massive for them now.
Normally I'd say that playing Everton away means that Chelsea have a very realistic chance of getting knocked out of the FA Cup, and they did lose to Everton earlier in the season, but Everton are such an enigmatic side at home. It's so hard to know what to expect of them. At Goodison, they've lost badly to Manchester United, Stoke, Leicester (understandable), Swansea, West Brom and West Ham to name a few. Not great. In terms of personnel, I think these are some of the best players that Everton have had for a long while, but it's not been reflected in their league position.
totally agree with that, disgusting, most players worth anything, or one who cared about the club would have to be carried off before leaving the pitch, the fact they both walked off speaks volumes about their commitment. They're done. As soon as it looked like they were out of this Costa and Hazard couldn't get off the pitch quick enough. Big rebuilding job needed there.
