why?
you lot seem adamant poch will not go to a prem team after you, nothing to worry about then :)
Who's adamant? I've never said such a thing. I hope and believe he is excited enough about the squad he is building to stay for a while. But I don't know him personally, I've no idea whether a bigger salary and/or budget would turn his head.

It doesn't fit with his history. He is immensely loyal to Newell Old Boys and Espanyol. When he was the new darling of the media in La Liga with Espanyol doing great things he was asked about managing Real or Barca. He said he wouldn't do it as his children wore Espanyol pyjamas to bed. He talks about having his people around him - Paul Mitchell and John McDermott were his choices in their positions. He's a complete control (clash reference) manager. No transfer committees or powerful Directors of Football for him. Whilst he may seem to be perfect for the idiots who run Chelsea or United from a distance, however, I cannot see him trading in his current position for more money and being told what to do by people who know far less than he does about managing footballers. In a recent press conference he was asked if he was having the most fun in his career and he said "yes." He likes Levy, his colleagues, the club, the players and the fans.

Look at what happened to the last 2 managers at United. Moyes had to leave the country and the press are in the process of hounding Van Gaal out as well. Chelsea is a toxic mess of a club. He'd hate it and Real Madrid brings the same problem x 10. Would he manage Barca if it was offered? His Espanyol ties might make that difficult. He'll be here in 2018 guaranteed.

Enrique is doing a fantastic job at Barca after a shaky start. And he was once a fan favourite in the shirt so is very much in the 'Pep' tradition. He's young and hungry so I can see him staying there for quite a few years to come.

I agree. I see Pochettino at Spurs for the next 5 years at least. You can chase money and lose your career. M. Pochettino hasn't yet done 3 full seasons at any club. He's won nothing. Not managed in the CL. Spurs is a great project for him. He's 44 with 20 good years ahead of him. 10 years with us and then Barca or Bayern? Why not? It's better than 7 months with Chelsea or United and then Newcastle or Everton like Moyes or the like trying to rebuild your reputation. Those jobs are poisoned chalices and this is not a stupid man.

We're pretty lucky in that there really isn't much more appealing positions for Poch that are going at the moment. Chelsea and Utd are of course bigger clubs but their managerial positions are poisoned chalices and providing no major hiccups, we'll be finishing above both this season so I don't see why Poch would leave the hard work he's done in getting us to where we are to technically take a step back by rebuilding another side, in which fans of the club won't be as patient with him.
Barca have Enrique while Madrid have Zidane - both legends of the clubs who I can't see leaving any time soon, Bayern have announced Ancelotti as Pep's successor, PSG have Blanc, Juventus have Allegri, Dortmund have Tuchel, Atleti have Simeone... I can't think of any other side that would be able to tempt Poch away.

I was going to suggest he'd go Man Utd and take the team with him. Levy would see dollar signs...

But Arsenal? C'mon! That's a low blow.

Enrique can't go wrong with 3 regular goalscorers and a good defence. 30% skill and 70% luck.

So Arsenal win comfortably but pick up injuries to Per 'combine harvester' Mertesacker, Gabriel and Ramsey - with the latter lasting less than 15 minutes before becoming a rarely seen substituted substitute <laugh>

This is precisely why they need to stay in this tournament up to but not including the final. They'll be out of the CL shortly and the FAC will remain as the only strain on their fixture list. Their bittersweet victory was also another reminder why I couldn't give a toss that we went out when we did.

Wenger said Mertesacker and Gabriel should be ok, but Ramsey will be out for much longer. To be fair I don't mind because he's been terrible this season and it gives one of our youth players the chance to shine.
