great stuff HB, thanks for that...it would be a shame for some players who have contributed in the grand scheme of things.

What I find amusing is how a few weeks ago every single Football League World blog was saying Wimmer (along with Onomah and Winks) would be the perfect emergency loan for pretty much every top half Championship club, but as soon as Wimmer started getting PL games they all switched to N'Jie - even though PhysioRoom says he won't be back for at least another 2-3 weeks. It's almost as if they're basing their assertions on how many matches Wikipedia says they have.

For the real stattos, here's how some players currently qualify for a medal (using Transfermarkt)
Chadli - 18 appearances, 781 minutes
Son - 18 appearances, 753 minutes
Mason - 10 appearances, 491 minutes
Carroll - 15 appearances, 410 minutes
Trippier - 5 appearances, 368 minutes
Wimmer - 4 appearances, 285 minutes (he'll probably get #5 against Palace)
Bentaleb - 5 appearances, 167 minutes
N'Jie - 7 appearances, 159 minutes
Onomah - 6 appearances, 25 minutes

For comparison on the number of minutes players have
Alderweireld - 2340
Kane - 2297
Lloris - 2250
Dier - 2203
Vertonghen - 2055
Walker - 1972
Eriksen - 1875
Alli - 1750
Dembele - 1564
Lamela - 1496
Rose - 1252
Davies - 1088

Not smart enough to learn from experience! A dog or a cat can, but Chelsea fans? What, for the life of me, I'll never understand is how David Baddiel or any other Jewish person can align themselves with those morons?

It used to be ten, now it's five - as evidenced by Jack Rodwell having a winner's medal for 2013-14 despite playing one full match and having four sub appearances totalling just eighteen minutes that season.

As it stands, the following players have not yet qualified for one
Winks, Yedlin, Fazio - 0 matches
Vorm, Pritchard - 1 match
Wimmer - 4 matches

I think there should be a more lenient rule for the back up keeper in the squad, their position is the most limited in the side.

"I shouldn't worry too much mate," Spurs will win the title with enough games to spare
to allow Vorm to play the games needed to meet the quota.

<fixed>

I shouldn't worry too much mate, no Spurs players will be getting one this season <cheers>

In all seriousness. If we **** it up then please, please don't let Arsenal win it.

I'm sure Piskie would be his usual magnanimous and humble self, should that unthinkable event occur!

Bring in Mourinho either before the Arsenal game or after we play them, if at all. I thought LVG was gone after the Sunderland game. Getting outplayed by relegation fodder in the second half seemed like the last straw. The final whistle signaled "finished" to me. The result today is completely in line with that. Denmark is riding high with key players in both the PL's top 2, and now this.

this was them after they beat Leicester on sunday

Can you imagine how insufferable they'd be if they won the title?

Chelsea have met representatives of Italy's coach Conte. I'm trying to remember when a coach has gone from country to club successfully. I've heard nothing about Capello or Sven, McClaren has done nothing and I don't see it being different with Conte. Hoddle, Keegan or anybody.
Mind you if he did go there and failed I'd be happy.
