The pundits themselves were unsure as to whether he meant to shoot or not, so not really. If you don't like to hear an opinion that is different to yours, I'd suggest you go to a forum full of Leicester fans where everyone agrees with each other.
On the 2 big decisions, they were both borderline. Vardy's looking for contact and Giroud goes down very easily. Ultimately Simpson should've known better than to put his arms on a player when he's already on a booking and Monreal left a leg out stupidly so you only have your own players to blame. Atkinson's a pretty awful referee but I think he showed a bit of consistency in giving both rather than just one or the other. You can complain about the foul in the build up for the penalty but there was still a long way for the ball to travel and a lot of Arsenal defenders inbetween the ball and Arsenal's goal. It might have been a bad call but it was far from crucial. You're going to get decisions go against you every game. Wrongful red cards, penalties and goals are hard to take but it's your own sides fault if you don't defend a corner, or attack properly whether there was a dubious decision or not. Anyway, you guys shouldn't be arguing about decisions, you should be united in complaining about the penalty that we got today
The rolling around was ridiculous, but he was lucky that he didn't have his ankle snapped. The tackle from Drinkwater was horribly mistimed.
I love the way he suddenly jumps up and has a go at the ref when he realises he's not getting anything...
If it goes down to the final game and the Toon need to beat us to stay up and we need to beat them to take the title I don't think I'd be able to watch it. I don't think my heart could take it. I'll get a friend to watch it for me and give me a shout if Spurs are winning with 30 seconds to go.
That's why it's so difficult to predict how the final games will go. It's not about the perceived relative strength of the teams (not that has been much help this season) but who has got something to fight for at the end.
"I love the way he suddenly jumps up and has a go at the ref when he realises he's not getting anything." Would so love a ref to have the guts to send the player off for cheating.
Or at least do 30 seconds of limping. I seem to recall a lot of Gooners taking the piss out of Suarez for doing exactly the same thing when he realised he could get the ball, but Ramsay was in genuine fear of injury. Cheating is cheating.
Can't stand players exaggerating being fouled. Our Sanchez is extremely guilty of doing this. It just looks pathetic. And waving "imaginary" yellow cards.
Prepare yourself for some embarrassment in the NLD. Your players won't fancy going 'mano a mano' with our boys and I expect diving, rolling around, imaginary cards of both colours to be waved and Wenger going apoplectic at anyone who'll listen. Should be a shameful performance of the lowest order!
If we are winning by three I could probably manage the last 45 seconds providing I have a large Brandy near-by.
It's an art more than a science but if your team mate is 'doing a Ramsay' then the imaginary card is red; if it's a Liverpool player then the card is red; if it involves Rooney it's also a red. Reds are waved more vigorously, as SDT says, and are accompanied by a facial expression that can only be described as 'the full incensed Rooney'.
