The Geordies are down to 10 men too, so they'll do well to get anything out of that.

Sunderland look like they could lose to anyone right now, but Norwich will be well pleased with that.

So we were the only team whose result changed from HT. Great.
Swansea killed it off, as did Norwich and West Ham threatened a comeback before having their keeper sent off for a very high foot, apparently.

Swansea had a good win today, they may be our rivals this season. Gomis (who they signed on a free) is proving to be an ideal replacement for Bony, and they have André Ayew, ghanaian magic and awesome celebrations from Swansea this season.

 

Another goal conceded by Arsenal which Peter Cech should have saved. 1-1 at Palace.

 

Finished as a world class keeper? Casillas went through a period making errors after losing his way. Cech looks nervous.

 

The referee completely bottled that. Coquelin should definitely have been sent off. No consistency at all. I'd like to hear the refs excuse as to why it wasn't a second yellow.

It was nice of Lee Mason to use his common sense and persuade Arsenal to take off Coquelin, instead of sending him off.
There's absolutely no need for a player to be dismissed in a friendly and it ruins the spectacle. That was a friendly, wasn't it?
