Henry Winter on the Glazer's decade at Man U.

"The story of a decade under the Glazers is not simply about the price tags; it is about the erosion of principles associated with a revered sporting institution. United should be a family not a franchise. For anyone walking into Old Trafford in the past, there was the sense of entering the home of a family, a family that had been through so much, triumph and tragedy, and always stood as one. United."

Before the Glazers there was the butchers son, a pervert who was responsible for the sale of the club to the yanks, the imaginary bs by Winter airbrushes the scandals that are deeply embedded into the fabric of Man U.

Never mind the fact Fergie succeeded despite the Glaziers not because of them, with the help of official bullying, strong United FA faction and brown envelopes of course<whistle>

I know Cleverley is a manc but Sherwood is out of order blackmailing the lad, hes helped get Villa to the final ffs.

Tim Sherwood's FA Cup message for on-loan Tom Cleverley

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood jokes that on-loan Tom Cleverley will not play in the FA Cup final against Arsenal, unless he signs for Aston Villa permanently.

The central midfielder scored the only goal in a crucial 1-0 win against West Ham - and Sherwood wants him to commit his long-term future to the club.

Villa will sit down with Cleverley over the prospect of a move from Manchester United soon, and Sherwood also believes he could force a way back into the England reckoning.

As long as Sherwood meets the modest £30m asking price.

Shame about Gibson, he's a quality player, but he just picks up injury after injury.

I'm hoping Howard is packed off to the retirement home this summer

will you be sending and more utd reserves up to the first team this year? coleman looks ready to move up.

Who is to blame for this? Sir Alex? The BBC? The FA?

Metro: Liverpool have spent more transfer money in last 10 years than Manchester United but are still lagging behind Red Devils. United have owners who plunged the club in to an insane amount of debt and have been penny pinching ever since their arrival, until last summer’s seventh-placed finish forced them in to action. If you go back ten years, to when United had just 15 titles, and compare the spending between the two clubs, Liverpool have outspent United in seven out of ten seasons.
