Hence me saying it was impressive regardless <doh>

For all the "low net spend" over the years, United still needed 2 or 3 massive sponsorship deals to be able to spend within FFP
[HASHTAG]#glaziers[/HASHTAG]

When United broke records signing Ferdinand and Veron at times when 30 to 40m was actually a lot of money for a player, it was "fair" but when Chelsea did it, or City, it was "unfair".

They offered to throw money at Shearer when he quit Blackburn, record wages and a record transfer fee, but he still chose Newcastle.

So the fact that they've managed to land massive sponsorship deals is somehow unfair?

United have spent less gross than Liverpool since the start of the PL era btw.

I've said many many times that Mourinho only does well as he only ever joins the rich clubs, he'd be ****ed without having to spend money.

As I said, that stat you put up is impressive but its also very selective and doesn't give a true reflection. A lot of managers would have done well with C.Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez/Berbatov up front, especially with the likes of Giggs, Scholes, Rio, Vidic, VDS behind them too. Most of which were in place well before the Glazer's arrived. Sure, your spending wasn't what it was once they arrived but Fergie had had many years to build a squad so it was like he was going to suddenly struggle, it took five or six years for that rot to set in ending with a aging squad that he left for Moyes to take the burden for.

Are you willing to admit you only included the fifth year so that the C.Roanldo sale would be included?

PS...you won three League Cups during that five years too btw, including one in that fifth year, maybe that's why you included it ;)
Fair enough, call it £14.5million, 4 PLs and 1 CL in 6 years.

No one has an issue with United spending even now, the only reason I would even point to the high spending is the utter meltdown you lot had over City and Chelsea. City and CHelsea have been great for the PL, but that infringed on your club being the only ones who could offer 30m for a CB, in fact for years only United could afford to be spending that kind of money on one player and that is the way ye liked it, even though it was to the detriment of the league it made you lot happy.

As soon as a financial challenge arrived with Chelsea, you lot went into meltdown and even more so when City appeared.

Other than that I couldn't care about the money, cos how can any of the top 6 sides bitch about money when you have Swansea Everton and other clubs only hoping to spend such amounts.

Only your sheer self delusion about FFP and utterly skewed take on "fairness" makes one wish to point out to your massive spending<ok>

Otherwise, I don't care, I want to see the best players in the PL, I don't care about the cash, the money think is just a weak ass wum lever.

Explain please. Which of my posts are you referring to? Or are you using the collective "your" as in one United fan posted something about FFP and fairness and you've gone psycho about it.

By the way
As soon as a financial challenge arrived with Chelsea, you lot went into meltdown and even more so when City appeared.
Since Roman bout Chelsea we've won 5 titles to their 4.
Since the Sheikh bought City we've won 3 titles to their 2.

Meltdown apparently!

Also if I remember correctly you mancs were also calling Balckburn money bags and claiming "they are buying the league" <laugh>
Shame their owner stopped spending money.

Had Liverpool already given up on winning the league again by then?

Genius that isn't it.

He also ignores that dem current Yanks, were blowing £50m a year until the incremental TV money kicked in and they managed to scrape a break even, albeit with an increased debt level.

Kopites simply have no place bleating about clubs supposed 'buying' anything, as they've consistently been amongst the biggest spenders in the PL era. The fact that they've never managed to turn that spending into an actual title is down to poor investment decisions by successive managers.

Martinez has bought 11th place

Shame he spent 7th place money to get it

<ok>

According to Van Gaal the 19 hours of football Fat Shaw has played this season is too much for him to be considered for England U21s

"He needs the rest because he has over-crossed the line."

"He needs the rest because he has over-crossed the line. He is 19. We have to protect him. I hope that the coach of the Under-21 understands that."

Van Gargle had no hesitation calling Depay up for Holland's full international team when he was "only" 19.
