But injuries are still likely to occur throughout the season. It's not so cut and dry.

Van Gaal also has the challenge of not only fitting all these attacking players in to the team but more importantly the formation, unless he's planning to scrap all preparation gone in to it. Di Maria is not a wing back and he's certainly not a CM.. Also from my own opinion RVP, Rooney and Mata are not the most balanced trio.. A pot of work to be done and you're already playing catch up.

Of course they will but to the same extent as it is right now? I doubt it.

Well didn't you lose Smalling today? It's a slippery slope and players will be still adjusting to new training regimes etc. It's more to your CM and CB you can not afford 1 or 2 long term injuries as neither Cleverly or Fletcher are good enough.

Utd have a lot of injuries at present, but the question must be asked even if those players were not injured would they make that much difference?

I think they would, they would bring Utd back to the same standard as last year. They would not make them title contenders. They need to sign at least 4 top class players to achieve that, and this would not include Di Maria. He is not what they need.

More pressing concern in tottenham imo. Squad a bit more settled, good manager and they could go 6 points clear after playing us.

Not fussed. If they finish ahead of us then we will have ****ed up big time. Our squad is far stronger and their strikers are Ade and soldado ffs. Today they beat relegation fodder at home. Really nothing to write home about

They've fluked wins against West Ham and Limassol, and had a good home perfromance against QPR. Give them time to bottle it yet.

Messi off the mark for Barca.

Not great defending, but awesome first touch on the half turn, opening space and finding bottom corner.

so so good when on form.

Mascherano is then sent off 2 minutes later tripping forward when he was last man! Such a good player, but still not a CB.

I keep hearing Di Maria is one of the best players in the world? No denying he's very good but of the top of my head I can think of..

Hazard, Neymar, Robben, Ribery, Bale, Ronaldo who are all better than him in virtually the same position.

I said this earlier, said the idea that Di Maria is 'World Class' is not true, given that that should be reserved for players like Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez, Neymar, Muller, Lahm etc. The truly best players in the game today who produce almost every game and win games almost single handed.

This concept was alittle too much for some of the Mancs.

Di Maria is perhaps the next level down, very good but too inconsistent for the World Class tag.
