i sort of know where he is coming from, you are right in doesn't really need to tell us, but it was mourinho excuse last season as we didn't have europe to contend with, maybe their egos cant handle it and they have to justify why they either got lucky or failed somehow, and he is on about from league point of view any way not how we have done in europe, as if he is he will have a little reminder when he goes down the tunnel by the changing rooms in our next home game against them.

Markovic might have - not sure, but him, Moreno and a lot of others have played EL which is no different (some say even it's harder to play Thursday, Sunday than Wednsday Saturday for some reason that I'm not sure of). So all our team apart from a few should be used to playing 2 games a week
Skrts, Johnson, Agger, Lovren, Sakho, Gerrard, Can, Markovich, Sturridge all have CL experience. It's the youngsters up front and in the middle that will be making the leap up.

I think we were both being very generous on Johnson as he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad for league cup matches, let alone CL matches.

Thomas Muller apparently rejected an "astronomical offer" from United to join them this season, instead deciding to stay at United.
Makes you wonder if he knew the wages on offer, does that mean a bid was accepted by Bayern for him? If so.... we should have been interested in that.
