When rojo was linked with liverpool earlier this summer he was a great player. Mahy a liverpool fan journo wrote articles in how he was one of the top defenders around amd would strengthen anyside....

Then he signed for united. Those same journos and those very same fans now say hes ****.....

Even if they did, are the same posters claiming he's not now? If that's not the case then does it really matter? We each have an opinion, some posters really need to realise this :)

Name and shame or ****off <ok>

Had never heard of him before so no comment before or now.

To be honest, probably similar to how Suarez was a flat track bully and average when played for us, but is now the 3rd best player in the World and part of the best attack (or 2nd if you prefer Real's) in World football.

Not sure I agree with that, UIR. A lot of us would have welcomed him here, but many still opined that Rodriguez or Moreno would be better signings for us. Many disagreed with that.

I, personally, think he's a good signing for you and will rotate well with Shaw (when he's recovered).

If he's not **** now- he'll be **** when he starts playing for United for the first time! <ok>

/ I don't know what he's like.

I thought he looked alright in WC (first time I'd noticed him)...but that rarely says much as is often said about world cup players.

If the rumours were true he must be good sincehe was our second choice back up if we didn't get the real deal in Moreno ;)

Harry like a deal, always has done with a brown envelope every time.

But that's not the reason I dropped by

Apparently Nani is playing on utds dime this year

It's not worth actually send him out bar saying he's unwanted if you pay all his wages

He needs regular games to try and get some consistancy back, we won`t be using wingers much for the at least the first half of the season so, if we are paying his wages and getting a reduced fee on Rojo it is a good deal from any point of view. If we are planning in keeping Nani we are getting him some much needed game time and confidence instead of paying his wage to sit on the bench (which means we have saved money on the Rojo deal), if we are planning to sell him we are putting him on show in a league where he should shine.

Nani has hit the age that he isn't really going to improve much more. I would suspect that the reason for the loan is that you hope if he gets to play first team football his value will go back up closer to what it used to be. If he sits on the bench at United his contract will eventually run out- and no one will pay much for him.

If Nani has a good season you might get a considerable sum for him. If no one is interested now, might as well dangle him out there- put him in a shop window.

Like i said, no lose situation, we either pay his wage to sit on the bench or pay it to get his form back/put him in shop window and get Rojo at a reduced price. He wil do well in Portugal.

Shop window? Anyone with a brain (no guarantee of one in football clubs) will see the guy is unwanted and will not increase bid

Smacks of andy Carroll and joe cole.

Thomas Muller apparently rejected an "astronomical offer" from United to join them this season, instead deciding to stay at United.

Makes you wonder if he knew the wages on offer, does that mean a bid was accepted by Bayern for him? If so.... we should have been interested in that.

He's like a better Dirk Kuyt. Top energy, never stops running, good on the ball and can find the back of the net.

He told Bild when asked if United had come close to signing him: “Of course.

“I was aware that I could earn more by making that transfer.

“The amount that foreign clubs were offering me was astronomical. But Bayern are my club, a change was not an issue for me."

Not quite the way you put it, he could earn more by ging to United but the "astronomical" thing seems a little vague on who offered it.

You answered yourself.

Utd after Alonso. They may offer him a lot of cash and 1st team football. But would he go there after playing for us?

i doubt he would, for one he is playing for the club he has always wanted to, and in his home country, money isnt always the answer thank fully, how old are his children as well? still school age doing exams etc doubt he would want to unsettle them by moving abroad from his own country, there is more chance of us signing him for me, but sadly unlikely.

probably a load of bull, be getting headlines next week of a ronaldo return lol.
