See Kompany has been telling us how the premier league will be harder now were in the CL.. Almost like we've never been in it before.

Think it's hilarious all the players n pundits telling us how much harder it'll be

Does Kompany not realise that before City bought their way into it, we were constantly it in, won it in 2005 and made the final in 2007

I think we know it's going to be harder, don't think they really need to be telling us.

 

To be fair, City have found the Champions League pretty hard so far.

 

i sort of know where he is coming from, you are right in doesn't really need to tell us, but it was mourinho excuse last season as we didn't have europe to contend with, maybe their egos cant handle it and they have to justify why they either got lucky or failed somehow, and he is on about from league point of view any way not how we have done in europe, as if he is he will have a little reminder when he goes down the tunnel by the changing rooms in our next home game against them.

 

This squad hasn't, Gerrard aside, most are CL virgins. BR included

They've all played CL football.

Markovic might have - not sure, but him, Moreno and a lot of others have played EL which is no different (some say even it's harder to play Thursday, Sunday than Wednsday Saturday for some reason that I'm not sure of). So all our team apart from a few should be used to playing 2 games a week

 

Skrts, Johnson, Agger, Lovren, Sakho, Gerrard, Can, Markovich, Sturridge all have CL experience. It's the youngsters up front and in the middle that will be making the leap up.

 

Aye, Sturridge as won the CL too... no?

I think we were both being very generous on Johnson as he shouldn't be anywhere near the squad for league cup matches, let alone CL matches.

Thomas Muller apparently rejected an "astronomical offer" from United to join them this season, instead deciding to stay at United.

Makes you wonder if he knew the wages on offer, does that mean a bid was accepted by Bayern for him? If so.... we should have been interested in that.

He's like a better Dirk Kuyt. Top energy, never stops running, good on the ball and can find the back of the net.

When rojo was linked with liverpool earlier this summer he was a great player. Mahy a liverpool fan journo wrote articles in how he was one of the top defenders around amd would strengthen anyside....

Then he signed for united. Those same journos and those very same fans now say hes ****.....
