I never said Fabregas played poorly. I merely said that I didn't believe his performance was worthy of the plaudits that it appears to have received and the conclusions that some a trying to draw. It's the 1st game of the season for goodness sake let's see how players are getting on 7 or 8 games into the season.

Tadic was very good for Southampton at the weekend. I've already asked if he can sustain that level of performance and I'm asking the same about Fabregas.

No side can yet say how their season is going to pan out and how good, bad or indifferent their individual players will be.

Nor do I Dave, he was phenomenal last season. I was just going by your logic that becuase the opposition is poor then he can't have been fantastic.

Why can't people say Fabregas was fantastic in 1 game? Nobody has predicted anything, just made a statement of how good he was last night.

haha, behave. The last minute 2nd was only conceded as you'd committed everyone forwards chasing the equaliser, you'd have never conceded a goal like that if the score had been 0-0.

Like I said, he played a major part in all 3 of our goals, made over 100 passes (I believe) with superb vision and also wasn't afriad to get stuck in. He rightly got MOTM and praised for yesterday's performance - he could be **** from here on in, but yesterday was very good.
