Former World of Sport presenter Dickie Davies has died at the age of 94. Davies was best known for anchoring the ITV sports show from 1968 until it came to an end in 1985. He also covered the Seoul Olympics for ITV in 1988 before leaving to join Eurosport. The news of Davies’ death was announced on behalf of his family by his former colleague Jim Rosenthal, who wrote on Twitter: “With huge sadness we announce Dickie Davies passed away this morning. Yeah, remember them all.. The Bomber bracketed was the character Roach played in Auf Wiedersehn Pet for those not conversant with the show.
Auf Wiedersehn Pet was and still is one of my favourite all time shows on TV. Dennis, Neville, Oz, Moxxy, Bomber, Barry, all great characters, played by great actors.

Former Norwich City chairman Robert Chase has died, his family has announced. Chase, 84, who was chairman from 1985 to 1996, died on Friday after a short illness. His time in charge coincided with one of the most successful periods of the club's history, including a famous Uefa Cup victory over Bayern Munich in 1993. Not everyones cup of tea, but I think we as a club have a lot to thank Robert for. RIP Robert
TV astrologer Margaret Lake, better known as Mystic Meg, has died aged 80. She was a well-known TV figure in the 1990s, appearing on the National Lottery, and has written horoscopes for the Sun for more than two decades. According to the newspaper, Lake died in the early hours of Thursday morning after being admitted to hospital last month after suffering from flu. Her agent Dave Shapland said: "Without any question, she was Britain's most famous astrologer by a million miles. Didn't see that coming
Fashion designer Dame Mary Quant has died aged 93, her family has announced. A statement from her family to the PA news agency said she "died peacefully at home in Surrey, UK this morning". Dame Mary was credited with designing the mini-skirts that helped define the Swinging 60s. A real icon of my generation. RIP Mary

Former Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman has died at the age of 78, his manager has confirmed. He died on Saturday at a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, surrounded by his family. He had bone cancer. Goodman featured on Strictly from its launch in 2004 until 2016 and proved popular with viewers for his wry humour and avuncular critiques. As well as Strictly, he also appeared on the US version of the show, Dancing With the Stars from 2005 until 2022. RIP Len Pickle your walnuts
