Chris Bart-Williams: Former midfielder dies aged 49 Former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Bart-Williams has died aged 49. Sheffield Wednesday confirmed he had died in the United States, where he was a coach and mentor. The club added: " We are deeply saddened at the passing of our former player Chris Bart-Williams." Bart-Williams started his career at Leyton Orient and scored on his full debut for the club in a 4-0 win against Tranmere Rovers as a 16-year-old. He joined the Owls in 1991 and made more than 100 appearances for the club. Bart-Williams moved to Forest in 1995 and made more than 200 outings for the City ground side before stints at Charlton and Ipswich Town. His death comes on the same day as that of Trevor Francis, who Forest made Britain's first £1m footballer when they signed him from Birmingham City in 1979. RIP C.B.W.

I remember a couple of great incidents on his show. The one with Rod Hull and Emu was hilarious. The one with Cassius Clay (as he was then) was a real classic. Some really indepth questions, and Clays remark of "you ain't as dumb as you look" was brilliant. Also played cricket at a high standard with Boycott and Dickie Bird at Yorkshire. A real GOAT imo RIP
Television impressionist and comedian Mike Yarwood has died at the age of 82, the Royal Variety Charity has announced. A household name in the 1960s and 70s, Yarwood was famous for his impersonations of politicians and other public figures. Some of his most famous impressions include former prime ministers Harold Wilson and Ted Heath, Prince Charles and the late football manager Brian Clough. The Mike Yarwood Show in 1977 had one of the largest single Christmas Day audiences ever for a British TV programme, at 21.4 million viewers. Great entertainer. RIP Mike
Folk singer Roger Whittaker, famous for his 1969 hit song Durham Town and expert whistling, has died at the age of 87. His other hits included The Last Farewell and New World in the Morning, and he sold nearly 50 million records around the world, his website said. After starting in folk clubs, his successes included the Skye Boat Song, a duet with Des O'Connor in 1986. He was also able to sing in several languages. They included German and French, allowing him to appeal to a wide audience, especially in Germany, where he was particularly popular. Whittaker was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1936, while his parents were from Staffordshire, England. Loved this guy, Great singer, RIP Roger

The actor Sir Michael Gambon has died in hospital aged 82, his family say. He was best known for playing Professor Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight Harry Potter films. Sir Michael, who was born in Dublin, worked in TV, film, theatre and radio over his five-decade career. He had won four Baftas. His widow Lady Gambon and son Fergus said their "beloved husband and father" died peacefully with his family by his side after suffering from pneumonia. As well as his starring role in Harry Potter, based on the JK Rowling novels, Sir Michael played French detective Jules Maigret in ITV series Maigret. He is also known for his role as Philip Marlow in Dennis Potter's The Singing Detective on the BBC. He began his career as one of the original members of the Royal National Theatre in London and went on to star in a number of Shakespeare plays. Former England manager Terry Venables has died at the age of 80 after a long illness. Venables managed England from 1994 to 1996, most notably leading them to the semi-finals of Euro 96 on home soil. He also had spells in charge of Barcelona, Tottenham and Australia. RIP Terry.
David Soul, who won cult status for his role in 1970s TV series Starsky & Hutch before topping the charts with his hit 'Don't Give Up On Us', has died at the age of 80. His heartbroken wife Helen Snell said the British-American star had passed away surrounded by his family following a 'valiant battle for life'. She said in a statement: 'David Soul - beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother - died yesterday after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family. RIP David
