I was thinking the same thing. I loved that show. When I was a kid my mum's best friend was the spitting image of MTM...lovely!

One of my favourite actors. That voice. He gave any line, no matter how trite, a certain gravitas.

A proper actor, able to portray a very wide range of character s from Roman emperors to sci fi spaceship personnel to Quentin Crisp to Cold War spies to deformed freak show exhibits.

This one has got to me - loved this show back in the 70s when I was in my teens - just something about her, especially in the opening credits. Suddenly I feel old and from a different time and place.

Sad news this. He was a great player with King Crimson, Roxy Music and Asia. Admired his playing style and technique when learning growing up and learning to play bass. RIP John Wetton
