I was thinking the same thing. I loved that show. When I was a kid my mum's best friend was the spitting image of MTM...lovely! RIP Mary Tyler Moore
One of my favourite actors. That voice. He gave any line, no matter how trite, a certain gravitas. RIP John Hurt
RIP It's hard to single out some of his performances as there were so many but for me his John Merrick was a particular stand out.
A proper actor, able to portray a very wide range of character s from Roman emperors to sci fi spaceship personnel to Quentin Crisp to Cold War spies to deformed freak show exhibits. Very few actors have the range and quality he had.
One of my favourite actors. In fact, I can't think there was anyone better. RIP John Hurt and thank you
This one has got to me - loved this show back in the 70s when I was in my teens - just something about her, especially in the opening credits. Suddenly I feel old and from a different time and place.
